Oriental Beach Village is a luxurious building in absolutely top class. It is a smaller area with 36 villas and 50 apartments. The building is located directly next to a lovely beach. The area is very local where you will experience the original Thailand. A lovely unspoilt area with many local family-run restaurants.
Located about 20 km southeast of Rayong as a major city with great shopping.
The apartment is from June 2012. From the apartment offers spectacular views of the ocean and the famous island of Koh Samet. Located in a close area with great security and good service, is a good place to live for everyone. There is a lovely pool right next to the water and a large pool in front of the apartment building.
In the building there is a fitness room with air-conditioning, lounge area, laundry, library and two smaller restaurants in the area.
From 2 of the rooms and the living room you have a clear view over the sea and there is a large terrace where you can enjoy the view and the lovely evenings.
We point out that it is private rental and therefore cannot be equated with a hotel.
Rayong Province
A very local area where you experience the original Thailand. The area is not overrun by tourists. It is an area where the Thais themselves go to their holiday home or when they go to the booth at the weekend.
You can withdraw money in an ATM at the airport (Visa card, Eurocard etc.). There is an ATM at 7-Eleven approx. 1.0 km from the apartment as in pass on the road. One can use Visa Card, Master, Eurocard and more. There are also a few larger banks (Kasikorn Bank, Siam Bank) in Ban Phe where you can exchange currency. Remember to bring passports if you need to exchange money.
Electricity meter
The electricity meter is read off on arrival and departure. Consumption per week is approx. DKK 300, -. However, it is important that the air conditioning system be switched off when leaving the apartment and turning off in the living room at night otherwise it can become considerably more expensive. The price is 1.00 DKK / kWh.
Don't drink the tap water! For cooking and coffee it is also recommended to use bottled water.
Everything that is available in drawers and cabinets throughout the house is for free use. In the sideboard in the master bedroom there are towels and bed linen. Both ordinary. towels, beach towels and beach towels. However, it is important that you make sure they are sent for washing on departure.
The terrace furniture will usually be set up on arrival. However, it is important that the cushions are taken in each evening or if you leave the apartment for a longer period as there may be occasional rainfall. There is Wi-fi, TV, DVD, Wii games,
There is service for 6 people. If a glass breaks, there is extra glass in the cupboard. There is no charge for this.
The pool
Can be used freely but used it in the evening it is important that you are quiet. You can take your own food and drinks down to the pool. Remember to clean up after you. The pool must not be used in the evening after. 19.00.
Breakfast
There are two small restaurants in the area. One close to the apartment and one down by the water. Both restaurants serve breakfast and a light lunch and drinks. However, eat the evening meal at one of the many local restaurants.
Cleaning
The apartment is cleaned but where you want extra cleaning during your stay you can book it at the reception. It costs approx. 700 THB.
Eateries
There are several restaurants within 3 km. Several of them can get to bring the food out. An evening meal typically costs between 50 - 60 DKK. per. person incl. beer and water.
Transport / Taxi
In the daytime, small open minibuses run, with 2 row seats, "Bath buses" or "Grisebiler" as they are also called. They drive in both directions towards La Ma Phim and Pan Phe / Rayong respectively and drive approx. every quarter or half hour. Ask the driver where he is going. They are practical and very cheap to drive with, and they stop when you stand out to the road. To the west they drive blue to Ban Phe (about 11 km and about 20 THB), and the whites to Rayong (about 30 km and about 40 THB).
However, they only run between 10am and 6pm. 8.00 and 18. 00. Remember this when, for example, you use them when you go out to eat in the evening.
You can also hire the Pig Cars to drive one to the area's restaurants in the evening. It usually costs approx. 300-500 THB depending on how far you have to go.
If you do not want to be dependent on the taxi or the bath buses when you are going around the local area, there are many families renting a scooter, as this is the easiest way to get around. One can usually also book a taxi at the local restaurants.
