Great location, old dirty rooms
The location of the hotel is amazing and the staff were excellent, very kind and always smiling! It's just a shame the rooms are dated and dirty. Very very basic, our bed was slightly damp the whole time we were there and had a stain on our bed.

Beach beach beach
The hotel is right on the beach, only a 20 second walk from the room. Pool is good but sunloungers weren't very good. Restaurants is slightly over priced so I suggest walking down the beach 50m to a cheaper one which is on the sand with the fire lights. Room is cleaned well but it just needs sprucing up and the bathroom needs improving. Overall was a pleasant stay and great location - the room Andrew other problems aren't massive when you spend most of the time outside and on the beach.

The resort itself was amazing. The view was gorgeous and the beach was as well. The staff were all very friendly, but the amenities including wifi and breakfast need to be improved. Would return, but would also consider other properties.

The hotel was fine, not a great use of the word 'prestige' but it's on a beautiful beach in a nice location. The food at the hotel itself isn't great but theRE are lots of nice options at the hotels and restaurants near by.

We were only here for the one night for the full moon party but hotel was adequate and ideal price for the one night's stay. The food down on the beach restaurant was really tasty but the breakfast was very poor and lacked choice. The beach was nice and quiet but hotel location is not ideal as it's tucked away down steep and uneven slope so makes getting in and kit a bit more difficult than it need be

The resort is far from everything(hadrin and thong sala), it's not bugalos but regular rooms and the view from the rooms is not pretty... All the other things was exellent

Nice and quiet. Near the beach
Very quiet hotel. Excellent for those who seek solitude noisy beaches. The hotel is located on the beach, that is far from the main beach of the island (Chaweng Beach) - need to take a taxi. But there is no problem with it. Guests keep quiet. Almost no kids, just couples. Spacious room with balcony overlooking the pool (no sea view, but it does not feel lacking). The same breakfast every day with a reasonable selection of food and a variety of fruits. Just like everywhere. Each building (10 rooms or so) has its own pool. The hotel is located close to the beach. The beach has sun beds belonging to the hotel. Beach narrow, long and very beautiful.

Very good hotel. Clean rooms, nice views and near by nice little village. Only breakfast wasn't so good and waiters looked unhappy and little bit lazy.

The resort was good overall. The staff was very helpful and the location was top notch; right on the beach of a beautiful little bay. My one complaint is that our shower had little or no hot water and the showerhead was very badly broken. If you're going to Koh Phagnon to party, you will need to take a taxi. Haad Salad is very far from anything like that, but in exchange you get a very peaceful stay.

somehow dissapointing
Room and reception were as expected, the walkway to the resort is dangerous because of potholes and no light at nighttime. The restaurants were poor quality and the service as well. The staff organized a barbecue without having an idea about barbecueing. For that reason you could hardly find any guests in the two restaurants.

It was only 2 nights, and that was too much for me.
Prior to arriving my wife and I made arrangements to be picked up at a ferry terminal. We were not amused upon arriving to find out there were two terminals and no driver to pick us up. There web site advertises free one way shuttle; which we ended up paying for the hotel shuttle to their hotel. Hotel appearance definitely not more than 3 star. Hotel food, which is almost a 2 star. Your better off walking to the other venues along the beach for better quality food and atmosphere at the same price range. Staff at the front desk seem to have issues when you make arrangements with them, especially after 7-8 confirmations. One thing this hotel did have was their location along the beach and thats ALL.

A very good hotel on the best beach in Koh Phangan!
We stayed at the Haadlad from 20th-27th August 2010. We were welcomed by the reception staff whom spoke good english. We paid a little extra for the Deluxe room on the ground floor room 101 that had partial sea views and looked towards the beautiful pool. The large room is well furnished,in good order and a good sized wet room bathroom with a power shower (very hot water). The pool is large enough and well maintained with enough beds. The location at Haad Salad is in our opinion one of the best beaches on Koh Phangnan. All the staff are very friendly and most speak and understand English which is excelent because I cannot speak Thai! If you treat them with respect they will look after you. We found the restaurant to offer extremely good value for money and was cheaper than many other local establishments. Breakfast is very good and offers a buffet service, continental, thai and freshly made to order eggs, including scrambled and omelettes. The only negatives I could comment on would be that the whole area closes shop at 10.30pm. This is not a place for party animals, however, everywhere is assessable by taxi that the hotel can arrange. The full moon party at Haad Rin is a good 35 minutes by road.
