Really lovely if you enjoy nature - we loved it - great see view amongst trees - air conditioning - daily room clean and very friendly staff. Also there is a complimentary boat taxi to the main beach
Sunwaree is 10 cute little no frills bungalows at the very farthest end of the bay that you can stay. It is a little tricky to find because the road ends before reaching Sunwaree so thankfully they had a boat to pick us up at the pier and take us there for the first time. Once you walk into town from there once it's pretty easy to navigate thereafter (about a 10-15 minute walk into town) or they will take you into town on the boat at certain set times throughout the day. Our bungalow was clean with ice cold A/C and the view was incredible. The only thing I would add to the bungalow is a couple towel racks. The lady running the place was super nice and extremely helpful. You can rent a kayak directly from her for only 100 baht per hour so my wife and I took one over to Monkey Beach (it only took about 15-20 minutes) and had a great time with the monkeys. Breakfast is included but only offered at 8 am so if you're looking to sleep in because you were out too late you'll have to grab breakfast elsewhere. This place is the farthest away from the main town area where music is blasting until 1 am but the music still carries over the water. This is not a flaw with Sunwaree but rather something you just have to deal with anywhere in Phi Phi. If you can't beat em' then you might as well drink with em'. I would happily recommend this place!
Beautiful view wanderful snorkeling and you can hayak Boat available to guests from 8hoo too 20h00 for free. Away from noise.

THIS HOTEL NO LONGER EXISTS. Just as a heads up do not book here as the hotel has permanently shut down due to location and the waves. It is far away from the main area of Koh Phi Phi.
We got fooled by photos! Only manager can speak english, but he allways try to charge you. When I paid for extra bed he didnt gave back change! Then when we checked out, this guy tried to keep some of the depositum, I asked this guy " why do you give less then I paid" He said sorry he was stressed!!! I felt this guy actually tried to keep the money!!!! But location is nice, and the resturant and eployees are kind, still they cant speak english!
Super hotel that is alitle bit away from al the crasynes. boat service works super and great staf. you dont ned to go to monkey island. you have monkeys in the garden. great private beach
We stayed at Sunwaree Resort for four nights and absolutely loved it. The resort is away from the main island and each bungalow has gorgeous views. The room was very nice and clean! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and "A" the boat man would take us in to town during the day for free. We absolutely loved the resort and would definitely go back!
Fantastic bungalows in remote location looking back across the bay towards phi phi village. Food and service fantastic, location remote even tho 15 min walk to town.
Only negative (which some may see as a positive) was that it can be tricky to get to. It's a 15 minute walk from town, half of it along a muddy path and also along a rocky shore line. You wouldn't fancy it in the Dark or intoxicated. Having said that, the resort does provide a free long tail boat, but this only runs between certain times and under certain conditions. If the waves are too choppy the boat can't land at the resort.
We didn't have issues with noise, but the whole of Thailand had toned down its entertainment during the month that we were there but I can see how it could be a problem if the bars did crank the music up.
If you're in phi phi to party, this probably isn't the place for you, if you like nice views and seclusion, you'll love it.

Beautiful but remote
Definitely not for the drunk/clumsy/unfit. There was no boat service apart from arrival and departure meaning a 25 minute trek through the jungle and literally climbing over rocks on the beach when tide was up in pitch black (lucky we had phone torches!). That said, beautiful view!!

great views, awful reception staff.
A longtail boat picks you up from the pier(you'll walk in the water till your calves to board it) the receptionist kept us waiting several minutes as we arrived with another couple and he thought we were staying all in the same room and he couldn't ask us if we actually had separate rooms. It's a really remote complex, with great views of the bay but you get all the booming music from the beach parties across the bay until 2am. Longtailboat brings you across the bay and back for free until 10 pm then it's 100thb per person. no facilities in the room( they have a kitchen by the reception if you want to eat).Last day, check out was at 11 am, and as our boat from Phi Phi main pier was at 14:00, we were planning to clear the room by then and just hang around the reception- lounge area for a couple of hours; however the receptionist came to knock at our door at 10 to rush us out, when we told him our plans but he claimed that there was a "bad sea " (not true as we later discovered)hence we had to leave straight away. When we asked him for the complimentary water(you get two small bottles per day)he answered that we wouldn't get any as it was our last day we had to buy it from them if we wanted it! As the hotel itself isn’t cheap ,it really shows their attitude is to squeeze tourists out of their money, we found it really bad taste and together with the unfriendliness and bad attitude of the reception staff it made the stay unpleasant overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
The location of this hotel is relatively far from the town and is extremely difficult to get to the hotel by foot, you need to cross a jungle and walk over rocks without any lighthing. Your second transportation choice is by the hotel boat, which runs from 7 am to 10 pm free of charge, 100 Bath per person after regular hours. We found the boat ride fun once but we later realized how dangerous the ride could be after sunset (very dark) and high tide, there are no life jackets abailable in the boat, considering you are crossing over a bay in the Andaman sea. We stayed one night and decided to stay at a more convinient hotel in town. We feel there is no enough information thru Hotel.com to aware you of the transportation issues.
Big mistake here. I booked the room and hotels.com charged my CC. When I arrived on Phi-Phi, i had to lug my luggage through the town, to the outskirts, past burning dung heaps and trash piles, up hills and down hills and up again, before I finally found Sunwaree resort. It was abandoned. The lobby was locked up and no one was there. The sun was setting, and it looked like I was going to have to find my way back in the dark. Luckily, a local fellow happened by and helped carry one of my bags back to the town on a more direct route, and he also helped me find a suitable beach-front hotel (I tipped him of course). Anyway, Hotels.com agree to reimburse me for the charge, but I'd just as soon not have gone through the ordeal.
First of all when we arrived they took us to their "sister" hotel Chunut House which is not nice at all. They said the other was closed because no one was there and it was far. After argue they agreed on taking us there ( basic argue as english is not their main quality... ) To arrive to the hotel you need to take boat, which sounds awesome and makes this different compared to other places buuuut the problem is that when you need to go back and forth to the main town you need to call from you own phone the boat guy and wait... the same to come back to hotel. --- If you just want to relax you may not need to go to the town, but the beach on the hotel is awful, basically only rocks and the restaurant was not on service, so, yes, we needed to go to the town to eat. After all we cancelled the second night of our stay and book hotel on the main town which was same price and quality but with swimming pool.

long walk to town
Nice service
Great food
No sleep. Loud Music from the town party's go until 4am every night.
the hotel was well looked after and in a good location 10 minutes from the main beach on phi phi. It is useful that there is a free longtail boat from the hotel to the beach.

If you dont want to sleep, go to Phi Phi. It is spoiled now by Nightclubs ruining a serene island. Shame it used to be so relaxing. Being honest sorry
Although it is a little out of the way, Sunwaree was an amazing choice. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the views from our bungalow were fantastic. I would recommend against this resort however, if you don't like boats as you need to get one to any from the town. You can walk, but the path is really not suitable after dark. I'm so glad that I stayed at Sunwaree, it's definitely a place I would stay again.
+Boendet var toppen. Mysiga bungalows med havsutsikt. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. God frukost.
