historic boathouse - outskirts of Berlin

Private lake property!
80 square metre historic boathouse (directly on the outskirts of Berlin) with view into the garden to the lake with private lake access and jetty. There is also a summer room / annex with lake view (bed 90x200, see photos). The historic boathouse has been lovingly renovated while preserving old building elements and offers wonderful accommodation, especially for couples (with children) or close friends, in an open-plan room with a fireplace, terrace and a 20 metre long covered veranda. On request with a play corner for children aged 1 - 6 years.

The historic boathouse offers everything that makes life pleasant. The kitchen is fully equipped. The new bathroom has a large shower and a free-standing bath. The view from the bed (160 x 200 cm) or the comfortable Stressless leather armchairs in front of the fireplace (wood included) goes directly to the 1,000 square metre garden and the lake. The first coffee in the morning on the terrace is already smiled at by the sun. The shed and the garden are south-facing, so the sun shines on the terrace all day long. The veranda offers a shady spot on the west side and sun in the afternoon and evening. If it gets too hot, an electric awning can provide shade.
The boathouse has a terracotta floor that retains heat in winter and coolness in summer.
The house is designed as a large open room, so children need some supervision. An additional play corner, a comfortable folding bed (90 x 200 cm) or a cot can be provided on request.

However, there is no separate bedroom apart from the summer room. Children are very welcome. There is a sandpit and plenty of play equipment in the garden for younger children, as well as badminton and Viking chess.
There is also a beautiful summer room / annex with a 90 x 200 cm bed (see bedroom photos). From the bed you can see the lake.

A rowing boat, two bicycles and a cargo bike are available for use free of charge. If you want to bring your own boat, you can use a mooring at the jetty free of charge.
There is an open-access washing machine in the barn, which is used by all residents.

There is also a residential house on the property by the road, which cannot be seen from the shed (and vice versa). The garden is shared.
Our tenants (2) work during the day. The terrace, veranda and the adjoining lawn around the fireplace are used exclusively by the guests of the boathouse. The garden is large enough for everyone to find a private spot. There is plenty of garden furniture available, which can be distributed individually.
Further important information
Dogs on request: Please provide brief information about the dog in advance. There are two cats living on the property who do not love dogs but tolerate them. Fighting dogs are generally not allowed.
The accommodation has some child safety locks on the cupboards, but is otherwise not particularly childproof (e.g. no sockets or cooker fuses).
The fireplace is the only fixed heating source, wood for cool evenings is available and included in the rent. There is a fan heater in the bathroom. A portable electric heater provides heat wherever you want it.
The boathouse is a living project in constant development. There are for example unplastered areas on the walls. This is partly intentional, for example the east wall shows colours and chalk from 130 years ago and will be preserved. Other areas are still waiting for the right ideas and materials. This in no way detracts from the living comfort;)
