Nice location about 15 min walk from the major shopping/dining districts in TST and Mong Kok. However hotel/rooms are fairly dilapidated and my room had a noticeable cigarette smoke aroma, which meant I had to run the noisy AC at night while in bed, (otherwise I felt like I was sitting around a campfire!) There was also no toiletries supplied (supposedly the result of some new city ordinance, or maybe just cost cutting). Thankfully an amenity kit from reception was only 20 HKD. The rooms are also quite big for HK (never mind say, Tokyo) mine had a decent view and it was below average hotel pricing for the season so I’d probably stay again (if I could get a smoke free room).

Central location for self touring
The main thing we appreciated was the easy access to downtown Kowloon. Transportation to all parts of the city was less than two blocks away. Temple Street market was a three block walk. Star ferry was a short ride on bus number one o six. Plenty of excellent restaurants and shopping nearby.

The Air-con did not work since the first day, can't sleep well cos it is too hot and I got a headache. Toilet had mouldy smell. At this price you can find better one. But one good thing staff helped to find the fan which helped a bit. I stayed during mid Oct. If winter may be no Air-con is fine. But Summer sure cannot stay in this hotel.

The location is good, right at the centre of many restaurants, shops, close to Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel is very basic, a little on the older side. What upset us the most was when asked if we can have an extra chair for our room, the reply was "This hotel has no chair!", what a blunt answer by a staff. No attempt to make it sound any nicer. Also, there were 3 nights without water in the flush tank. We were told to flush it with a cup. After some further questionings, finally, we were given a bucket to flush. This is so unacceptable. My advice is to stay away from this place. There are plenty of hotels in the area.

Pros and cons
Pros: Fantastic location near Jordan MTR, bus to and from airport and restaurants. Cons: Checked in time is 2pm but we were told our allocated room will only be available around 6pm. We were subsequently given another room after 4pm. Would have been nice if the hotel could provide separate shower gel and shampoo/conditioner rather than a all-in-one.

Room Review
The carpet really need a very good vacuum and dry cleaning. Overall the room is comfortable, bed sheets, pillow and toilet is clean. Happy with the stay except the carpet issue. This is the second time I have stayed in your property.

Perfect for what we needed-convenience, affordability and a place to sleep. Room was quiet and bed comfortable. Staff efficient and friendly. No frills, but didn't need to be. This is not the place for people with more sophisticated tastes, but great if you want simplicity and reliability.

The staff on reception were polite and helpful. The hotel itself is tired, worn and very shabby. Whilst I appreciate it is busy and well used it could certainly do with a total refurbishment. I would not stay here again.
