We had a magical stay at avatar railay! Upon check in, we were given fresh juice and a map of Railay beach. The pool is beautiful, with a view of the limestone cliffs if you sit in the right chair! Rooms were spotless, included were 2 reusable mugs to fill up whenever we needed with purified water. Our absolute favorite part of avatar was the restaurant and live music. Every night there was stellar live music outdoors with beautiful lights twinkling around the property. We stayed 5 nights and ate at their restaurant every single night (sometimes had our lunch there too!). Our booking also included breakfast every morning. Awesome place to stay, we never wanted to leave.

There was very good and tasty food in restaurant inside complex. I do recommend it. I had a room with direct entrance to pool. Water in pool was cool. It was cooler than in sea. Pool has limited access to sunlight.

Avatar was a great hotel choice. The location was great on east railay 5 minutes walking from railay east floating dock and 10 minutes to railay west beach. The staff was nice, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast buffet was great! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Not what we expected.
Nice resort up front but the pòol area needs attenion. The pool is cooler than most pools that we were in. Bonus is that no kids as it is adults only. Now the resturant and bar service is very poor. The staff would walk right by your table without looking or asking if you need anything. They stood behind the post of the building all together and were not interested in serving you unless you waved your arm. Resort is about a 7 overall. Good location. Staff could speek english. The breakfast was not even a 4 rating the bacon was not cooked and the prrcooked eggs were cold. No cheese or yogurt..this resort could do much better as a adult resort.

Rooms are large, bed is comfortable if you like a hard mattress. With the exception of the smilie happy barman & the cleaner, the serving staff were miserable and grumpy - particularly at breakfast service. The toilets in the restaurant area were not clean for 2-3 days. The reception staff treat their paying (good paying given the cost of the accommodation) like criminal on check out, telling myself to not to leave until my room had been checked. If you’re paying Avatar prices, you are highly unlikely to be stealing one of the many items (umbrella, beach towel, beach bag, vacuum cups to hold water). Quite unnecessary.

Really nice hotel with nice rooms, clean and big beds! Loved staying here and the food at the restraunt on a night was good, only bad thing was the staff at the restraunt, they were so slack we was waiting ages for them just to take our plates away (45mins- hour) as they was all stood chatting and on phones. Other than that it was a nice stay, I would come again.

Worth the money!
Avatar Railay is a nice place to relax when you want to get away from the crowded city of Bangkok. The amenities are good. There's plenty to choose from their breakfast buffet. The pool is cute. Rooms are elegant and clean. The only downside is that there's no lift available for the upper floors. You'll have to drag your heavy luggage upstairs. Staff are helpful and polite. Overall, Avatar Railay made our stay in Railay beach worthwhile. Thank you!
