Fantastic hotel! Laundry is extremely expensive though. Huge rooms, great bathroom, and super close to public transport.

My Partner and I stayed here for a few days during the mid to late summer. We were very jet lagged from an early flight and the hotel staff was very accommodating and helped us check into our room early. They spoke English and German fluently. The room was very clean and minimal, but comfortable. We had to walk maybe 5-10 minutes in any direction to find more restaurants and access the U-bahn. We realized we were a few minutes from the Berlin/Deustche Jewish Museum and decided to visit. This is overall a lovely hotel with a good staff in a walkable location to get where you want to visit in Berlin. One thing to note, the WiFi may not connect well on upper floors, so plan ahead if you are an international traveler.

I contacted the hotel about the possibility of an early check in. The response said that they would if they could. We arrived 1 and a half hours before check in and were told that our room was ready. Only at that point, they asked for €50 for the privilege. Rubbish profiteering. At least be up front about it. The hotel was fine other than that.

Lovely hotel, all staff very polite. When booking we did notnknow there was no access to gym facilities or pool or there was no evening meals in the hotel. It would have been nice if these were available. But regardless we would definitely stay again even without those facilities. Thank you

Very pleasant stay at Hotel the Yard
We stayed at Hotel the Yard for 3 nights and it served us perfectly. Our room was clean and modern, had all the amenities we required except a fridge but for such a short stay it wasn't an issue for us. The location was ideal, in a quiet area but close enough to the centre of Kreuzberg. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the cost of our stay was reasonable.

In Berlin for Dave
I was in Berlin for a Dave Matthews show and stayed at this hotel. I gotta say it was pretty good. The hotel is within walking distance to wonderful dining, along with a friendly neighborhood pub around the corner. The hotel staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The only negative was the gym/pool area being closed for renovations, which I did not know ahead of time. I appreciate though they are making renovations. I fully enjoyed waking up each morning to the sound of a bird/owl cooing/whooing so much that I recorded the sound before my departure. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely room. Great shower. Nice sauna and pool. Be aware that there are few facilities in the immediate area and that there is a 10 min walk to the tube. Near the tube there is an excellent pizza place - neon cat sign and a lovely cafe Madame?? Although not classy they are full of locals and the food and drink are good. Head to Hallesches Tor. Hotel location very easy to get in and out of Berlin central and all main attractions.

The rooms and amenities were all properly cleaned and maintained. However, the staff was not great. We got there and they assign us an unclean room. Had to go back downstairs and wait to receive a room that was prepared for check in. We could not get new bedding until after two nights and we only were staying two nights. We asked for new towels in the morning and they did not get delivered until we called again for them. The hotel is very beautiful but the communication between employees and guests needs to be improved.
