We had a lovely stay at the Intercontinental, we got off the plane and went straight to the hotel and enjoyed the comfort of the much needed facilities. We had 2 days to unwind and acclimatise to the time zone on our way to Bali and this was the perfect place to do it

The place is in dire need of renovations. Faucet didn't work, toilets from the 80's, carpets from the 70s. A couple of pieces of furniture were stained or dirty. Their staff was very prompt and handled the issues but the property definitely does not have a 5 or even a 4 star rating. Again, staff outstanding, property is borderline avoid altogether.

Location was very good, it was a few minutes walk from the beach and many dining options around. Bad thing was there was a lot of traffic at peak times due to the club nearby.

Excellent hotel but ‘inconsiderate neighbours’
This hotel has excellent service. Request for extra towel & bedding was attended to quickly even though we checked in after midnight. Unfortunately the walls are thin. The people in the room diagonally to us were talking so loudly that we could hear them at 3am. Someone must be smoking along the corridor & we could smell it near the door area. Thankfully it did not permeate throughout the room. I would come back again but hopefully we have more considerate neighbours.
