This detached private home has 2 bedrooms, 1 California King and 1 Queen bed, with
luxury linens, comforters, and pillows. The cottage has a great room feel, with the kitchen, dining, and living room all open, looking onto the West Maui Mountains, Lanai, and Molokai. The kitchen is fully stocked, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster oven, pots/pans, serve ware, glassware, etc. Escape the heat of sea level for the cool, crisp air of upper Kula, no air-conditioning needed.

This is a newly constructed 2 bedroom 1 bath home, allowing you to enjoy all of Up-Country Maui, and feel like you are at a home away from home. This private gated home sits on 2.4 acres of farmland and has stunning panoramic ocean, multi-island and Haleakala National Park views. This custom home features vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, granite counter-tops, fireplace, travertine bathroom, and stainless steel appliances.

This Upcountry location is perfect for guests to explore all of what Upcountry Maui has to offer. It will only take you 20 minutes to get to the beach and about a hour to get Haleakala Crater and 5 minutes to Alii Lavender Farm, and allows you to be able to take the spectacular back route to Hana. Upcountry is exceptional for hiking, running, mountain and road biking, paragliding, riding zip lines, horseback riding and relaxing!

Serene Escape in Upcountry Maui
We had an incredible stay! The peaceful setting, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views, made for a perfect start to our trip. The home was cozy, clean, and well-stocked with all the essentials. The host was welcoming and provided great recommendations for exploring the area. We loved the cool climate and the short drive to Haleakalā National Park. This is the ideal spot for a serene escape in Upcountry Maui!

Upcountry Kula is outstanding!
We loved this property! The house is gorgeous and the view is stunning! All the details in the house were top notch and so thoughtful. The bed was comfortable and the host provided with a few initial staples for breakfast including fresh eggs from their own hens. It is central on the island so we still had access to anywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend!

What a gem of a place! The place is perfect in evey way. Fully fitted and stocked kitchen with all the amenities you could ask for down to ziplock bags, different cooking oils, condiments, herb and spice rack, sauces, cotton wool pads and ear buds. Amazing attention to detail. Its literally lime home to home. Kula is the closest place you can stay to Haleakala volcano summit. Incredible views from the huge terrace. Marianne is a very generous and thoughtful host. A lovely welcome hamper with OJ, milk, bacon, bread and butter and fresh farm eggs from her hens next door (no roosters so dont worry, there is no noise). Marianne popped by to welcome us and said to let her know if wanted more eggs which we did. They were delicious. Plenty of space, wardrove space, the best hairdryer out of the 4 places we stayed including the Four Seasons. White fluffy towels. Air conditioning not needed at the property as there's a lovely breeze and you're 4,200 feet high. Quiet and private. Faultless. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Marianne for letting us stay amd being such a wonderful host.

Amazing property!!! Hosts are super welcoming and our 2 kids very much enjoyed the chickens. The location in Upcountry is relaxing and the views are stunning. Easy access to all Maui had to offer. Property came with everything listed along with fresh eggs, juice, milk, and a fresh loaf of bread. We'll be returning to Maui and most likely staying here again. Cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay. It was like our home away from home.

We had everything we needed. So lovely to stay there. Very clean, towels are clean (didnt have to use the ones I travel with). Cleanliness is king, you dont have to worry about it there. We were very comfortable. I would book again.

Hard to leave
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home was very clean and just absolutely beautiful. We always enjoyed starting our day on the deck and coming back to relax after a long day of enjoying the rest of Maui. The house had everything we needed and Marianne was very quick to respond when we had any questions. We've rented quite a few places all over and this was by far one of our favorite places and it was so hard to leave. It definitely will be our go to place coming back to Maui.

Wonderful sanctuary above the clouds. We had the best stay thanks to Marianne our host. We enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast along with bacon, bread, milk and OJ! Such a warm welcome. Excellent location to visit Haleakala whether for sunrise, sunset or anytime in between. She also let us know we needed reservations for sunrise viewing. We dream of a return visit. Mahalo!

Absolutely Stunning!
This was our first stay in Upcountry and it did not disappoint. Simply put Kula is a gem and 4200 is an immaculate, well-furnished property. A cook's kitchen with fresh eggs, bacon, milk, juice, bread and butter to start off the day. The views are breathtaking and we slept so well in the peaceful neighborhood. We are the envy of our friends when I shared the video I took the first morning. The location is perfect to get to everything near Upcountry, as well as Makena Beach for a day trip to meet a friend. You literally have thought of EVERYTHING a traveler requires, Marianne is a thoughtful, exceptional host; communicative and helpful with any question we had. Kula has forever touched our hearts and we will return to stay again. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Beautiful home and furnishings. This place is furnished to the hilt. Everything you want and more. The views are amazing and great location. Owners are super. We had a great time staying at this property. It was located in the beautiful Upcountry and the home matched the beauty of the scenery. The best!
This is our 3rd time staying here and have stayed at some great vacation rentals over the years. This place is 6 stars and in a league of its own. Easily the #1 place we've stayed. Absolutely Amazing! Must stay here!
This place is fantastic! It’s secluded from the touristy hustle and bustle of the coast, and only 1 minute from the entrance to drive to Haleakala. The hosts are so kind and left us bread, eggs, bacon, orange juice, and milk for our arrival. The property is very clean, nice, and complete with anything we needed (spices, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel kits, beach chairs). The sunset views over the other side and Maui are better than from the top of Haleakala since it’s under the clouds. The property is in the perfect central location to get to everything quickly (Haleakala, start of the Road to Hana, Haleakala at sunrise, cowboy town, etc) and has much cooler temperatures than the coast, which we appreciated greatly! The washer and dryer on the property are very nice and quick so we didn’t lose any time from our vacation doing laundry. If you want a beautiful property with anything you could ever need, this is your place. It’s tucked away in some farms and other houses so it feels like you’re a local. 15/10 would recommend this property to anyone that wants to stay in Central Maui.

Quiet serenity
We had an enjoyable stay upcountry. The house was so luxurious. Simple things that made it great- nice quality bedding, quality sharp knives, plenty of kitchen wares (multiple options for coffee). Plenty of beach items included. It was so quiet at night, just the sounds of nature. You can star gaze from the deck, or out the bedroom window. It was a great place to leave to watch sunrise at Haleakala, and the Saturday Upcountry Farmers Market was great for fresh fruit and veggies to pair with the eggs, bacon, juice and milk the house provides. They make great recommendations. I can see why so many quests make return visits.

This home is wonderful, well-maintained, great lay out and has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay in Upcountry Maui, including farm-fresh eggs for breakfast. The views from the patio are breathtaking, and you can watch the beautiful Hawaii sunsets followed by stargazing. Great location as a home base for exploring Upcountry (winery, distillery, restaurants, local farms), Haleakala Natl Park, Road to Hana. Owners Marianne and Tim are amazing hosts. You can tell they take pride and care in their property. They are responsive and made us feel welcomed. If traveling to Maui, highly recommend a stay in Upcountry at this property.

One of our most amazing stays we ever had.
I’ve stayed in many VRBOs, in many places of the world. This place is meticulously assembled to offer the travelereverything you could ever imagine you would like to have at your whim and desire while away from home. The view from the shaded porch overlooking West Maui and three other islands! , the cleanliness and clarity of line and design of the house/grounds, the incredibly well provisioned kitchen (everything you’ll need and top of the line), luxurious linens, garage of gear meeting the needs for your adventures, and the upcountry quiet/pleasant air feel makes for one of the best end-of-the… and start-out-your-day VRBOs we’ve ever stayed at. We all know images or descriptive words never match the true in-person experience of any destination, and so it is with amazing home. This is a gem you have to experience AND revel in losing to the fault finding game.

We had the most incredible stay! Marianne was such a gracious host and was very accommodating for us. We came here for the second half of our honeymoon and instantly wished we spent the entire trip here! They have every amenity you could think of needing, and there are the cutest goats next door. The views were out of this world. We can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous stay
We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations to round up our trip to Maui. The setting is gorgeous with the epic views, bleating goats and clucking chickens. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with every amenity you could possibly need. We hope to stay there again in the future.

My family had a fabulous stay. Marianne is an absolutely wonderful host. The home is well stocked with everything you could need and more. She is also available for any questions or concerns that come up. We had a great weekend and enjoyed the ultimate Upcountry Maui experience with breathtaking views. Perfect location, perfect place.
The view was spectacular, with and without the clouds. The occasional downpour did not dampen the experience whatsoever, rather, it was another experience to have. The rental house is exactly as described, had everything one needed. The host, Marianne, make sure to stop by shortly after arrival to see if there were any questions or concerns at all. A few perfect days in quiet paradise! Highly recommend, unless you want to stay there during the time that I want to stay there again 😎.

Peaceful retreat in Kula
This property exceeded our expectations. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The location is peaceful and quiet was a perfect retreat to unwind after a day of beach and city crowds. Views are amazing. The host was very friendly and helpful and you can tell they put a lot of TLC into the property. There is also a flock of adorable free range hens on the property that we enjoyed feeding. Definitely one of the top vacation rentals we have stayed in.
