It’s seems a little older but very clean. It sits right on a loch. There is a little deck and gazebo area that allows you to see the sun set over the loch. The breakfast was very good. I’d recommend Tingle Creek to other travelers.
Excellent hotel and staff. Andy and Dennis were very knowledgeable about local history, places to eat and drink and out of the way attractions.
Do get a room with a loch view. One of the best room views I've ever seen
Breakfast was buffet style, more than ample and well attended. Again, view rooms get view tables while dining.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and much less expensive than staying on Skye.
This is the best property I stayed at my entire vacation.. so amazing.. the full breakfast every morning, the gorgeous views.. super friendly owner.. I would stay here again and again. Close to the Skye bridge for day trips .. lovely simply lovely quiet and clean!
The site for this hotel is spectacular - the view of the Loch and the Isle of Skye are unmatched. After that it feels like a hotel where they've lost the edge of excellence and settled for mediocre food, heating, maintenance (false smoke alarm in the middle of the night), super leaky shower, etc.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
A uniquely located hotel with great scenic views of the Highlands. If you need more tea or coffee or hot chocolate or fresh milk, it can be requested. Excellent hot and cold breakfast and friendly service too.
Only real downside, but it is well publicised, is that there is no evening catering. The hotel do however note where dining is available in the area.
Our favorite hotel by far. Just back from a 12 day driving tour of Scotland and Yorkshire. Stayed in many hotels several much more fancy, but, honestly, we loved Tingle Creek the most! It is a small, homey place with wonderful hosts. A great restful, happy spot after a day touring the Isle of Skye. Not a place for the pretentious. It's a home away from home.
We loved being out of a town but close by facilities. The location is easy to get to, and we had no problem finding the hotel. The view of the sea was lovely and we enjoyed having the lounge area to relax in during the evening.
Clean and friendly but and it’s a big but I would say this is a b&b not a hotel - no restaurant or bar which is a normal thing for any “hotel”. Breakfast was great. Lounge for sitting in in evening closes at 2130 which is early. Given location at minimum a bar with snacks should be provided.
