This is a good place to stay in a good location. Room was clean and spacious. I didn't really like the remote check in. Would be much better to have on site staff.

Great property, and a large room, for Japan. The Minn location was great for those with Gion/Kyoto on their list - close but not too close, for the foot traffic and noise. Great restaurants and walking nearby. The subway was a 5 minute walk away, which you'll learn in important, and a Family Mart attached to the property.

Great location, nice clean and large room, and has all amenities needed in the room. Literally right next to a family mart which is great and walking distance from the markets and temples. Only minor downside was it would be tough to access staff at some points but we never needed that and when they were around, they were super friendly and helpful. They even let us check out a little later because our washer drier was taking a little while. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 with 2 teenagers loved this place. It’s a huge space with so much room for a hotel. The check-in process was super easy from their tablet. We got there early and there were free luggage lockers for us to use while we went out a bit. There’s a Family Mart right next door, so it’s very convenient to grab cold drinks and ice cream before heading back to our room. Minn Gion is about 15 minutes walk from Nishiki, which has the Nishiki market, lots of cute shops, and Ichiran Ramen. It’s also walking distance to lots of temples. We booked a private 90 minute spa room for our family and we enjoyed relaxing in there. We would definitely recommend staying here for any travelers.

Cushy digs, great location.
Great location (could walk into Gion district, plus lots of great restaurants within walking distance). The whole building and rooms felt very nice, clean, comfortable. We were a family of three, staying in one of the larger units. My wife and I had the bedroom with a door that closed, and my teenage daughter stayed in the living room and tatami area, with a huge mattress. Worked out very well. I had read that there was no service (just a virtual one you talked to through a screen), but most days when we passed through the lobby, there was a live staff there who could help with requests.

This is a great hotel for families traveling with kids that need a bigger space. The room was very clean, the service was excellent and it was extremely convenient to have a Family Mart next door that also ships your luggage to your next destination in Japan. I would stay here again.

Exactly how I hoped it to be
The property is close enough to the Gion busy area, where you would like to be when you are a tourist, but it is in the quiet part of Gion - which is a good thing if you like accessibility, but at the same time peace and quiet when at your temporary home. The whole building is safe and clean. The unit it self has all the amenities we needed and enough space for a family. The place is beautiful, specially the powder/bath room. I definitely recommend this place when visiting Kyoto.

Great location overall, close proximity to many buses and trains. Small neighborhood a step back in time and beautiful historic surroundings. The insuite laundry was very handy, used the bathhouse and it was very clean. I also visited a public bathhouse 2 mins away when the property's spa was booked - old but charming. Only downside is the check-in was difficult to get through. It was digital and can only check-in at 3 pm and after.

This hotel is located in the most traditional area of Kyoto, Gion. This area is beautiful to walk around, very authentic and a walkable distance to the more touristy areas. We were able to walk to many very small local restaurants and have a real feel of Kyoto. Apartment was Japanese style, my kids slept in Tatamis. It was a fun experience trying to live more like locals instead of being in the big name hotels.

Property was wonderful and the nicest place I've stayed at. Check-in was a little tedious though. The room was perfect and spotless. There's a small store next door. The train station is a little bit of a walk away, but you are right in the middle of a great area.
