Everything was good, stuff was very nice , friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn’t like were the bed covers- very uncomfortable slippery material of the comforter,it was not easy to keep it on though the night

Convenient and Confortable
This location is incredibly convenient to Kyoto Station. The staff is welcoming and the rooms are well-maintained. Many dining options in the hotel and a convenient shuttle between the hotel and Kyoto Station. Would stay here again.

The staff was upmost professional. They are nice and helpful. Free shuttle bus from/to Kyoto was an excellent feature for the hotel. Daily house keeping was a welcome feature. The room was bigger than some of the Japanese hotel room. Unfortunately, the mattress on the bed sunk in the middle, which made it very difficult to rest and sleep. On top of it, the comforter in side kept sling on the ground because the case was too loose. I regretfully find this negates all other good things going for this property. Hence the average rating.

Everything was great, but what turned me "off" is the staff, he called himself the Manager, who was standing between the front main entrance doors and the registration area. Problem started as I tried to retrieve the luggage from the storage area in the afternoon. I had a taxi outside on stand-by so he can take us to the Kyoto Station for afternoon reserved Shinkansen. We mis-placed the tag/key for our luggage. As we were trying to find it in our shoulder bag, the so called Manager insist I need to provide the tag/key, with no other options. I tried to explain that we have taken photo to prove our luggage, but to no avail. I asked to escalate this to his manager, but he insist he is "the" Manager and no other Manager at this hotel. He expect me to accept his answer that this large hotel's manager is floor manager. His attitude towards me and my family was beyond my expectation and I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. And share my experience to my colleague and business associates. I feel this so called "Manager" for entire hotel with no other Manager? needs to take Customer Relation Training as well as Management Training.

Not a bad hotel, but a not great one either. Our room was ok, but definitely smelt like it used to be a smoking room. Felt pretty dated and stale. The subway transfer shuttle was great however and got a lot of use given the hotels distance from the Kyoto station. Not a lot of local dining options around the area and the prices of the hotels room service and in house restaurants was ridiculous.

Uhhhh, no. Paid for two bed suite to accommodate 3 guests. When i tried to book a room with shoddy wifi, kept getting errors. When i finally got thru, accidentally put 1 guest, but still for two beds. When i got to the hotel, told them i have two guests w me and they said since i didnt select three guests total, the concierge had to upcharge me 75$ extra for it. This crap Doesnt happen stateside, or any other places for that matter (if so, i dont recall). Concierge wasnt flexible w it, much to my dismay and incessant explanation of circumstances (and i rarely complain)… and gave me a 5$ discount for my troubles. Pathetic. And im an avid international flyer. I despise japan for this behavior. Yes. Whole country collects an L for this.

This place is a must stay, the staff friendly and accomodating, the room was spacious and so clean. Thanks for a great stay, the only negative thing would be is there is a control at the side of your bed that controls the room lighting which shines blue all night

Peaceful and convenient location, there was also shuttle bus available to and fro Kyoto station. Room was clean and cosy. Staff were all very friendly, had a lovely stay!
