I stayed in a View Bath Twin Room for ¥45,000 on a weekday in November. I understand it’s peak season, so the price is higher than usual. The hotel feels new, clean, and stylish, and I didn’t hear any noise from other guests in my room. Overall, I had a comfortable stay, and the location is excellent. However, I’m only giving two stars because it didn’t meet my expectations. The service was standard, and the room lacked amenities. You have to pick up items like a toothbrush, face wash, and comb at the front desk yourself. The breakfast dining area also doesn’t offer a good view. My experience was decent but nothing exceptional. I wish I could have had a room with a nice view of the Kamo River at this price. I wouldn’t recommend staying in the View Bath Twin Room, especially with its higher price than other business hotels.

Great location. Walking distance to Gion (1 mile) and shopping/ Pontocho alley (less than 0.5 miles). Right next to a subway station for easy access to other parts of the city. Staff helpful.

This hotel is nicely furnished and decorated. The suite had a private view of a cultivated garden out the window. Walking distance from shopping, an easy-to-use subway system, and some great restaurants.

Hotel in the middle of Kyoto
Nice room but a bit small. Onsen had indoor and outdoor pool. A bit pricey but it was in a good location.

This place is just fine. We stayed three nights at a comparably priced spot a few blocks away that was way nicer. The air purifier in our room was broken and they provide bare bones in room amenities, like powder coffee creamer. No coffee or tea in the lobby. Frosted glass. All around just fine but there are plenty of nicer spots at the price range.

The property was in a good location in terms of walkability to food, bars, and access to public transportation. It sits right up against a river that many people walk along. The room itself was quiet, and nice, but we noticed the vanity had damage to it, wall decorations were peeling, and most disturbing is the tub was filthy. I filled the ofuro only to find gray matter floating at the surface. It's as if no one scrubbed the tub between visits.

I really enjoyed my stay in Kyoto! The staff at Solaria Nishitetsu was very helpful, especially when I had wifi issues. The property is in a perfect location along the river. The rooms are very nice (especially the bathroom with separate toilet area). I did not get a chance to visit the spa/public bath, but I intend to stay longer and do so next time.
