Unique design with open air aspect to reception area. Roof top room nice outside space helped because bedroom was small although bathroom was larger than our previous hotel (Hilton) Tokyo. Huge variety of choice at breakfast but for me I would have preferred more options for the evening menu. Great location for Kyoto station.
The weather was hot but the aircon in the room was great. Really close to the train station but no train noise at night. Bed was comfortable but would have preferred different pillows. A great place to stay while sightseeing in Kyoto and Osaka.
Staff did a great job of cleaning the room or just changing towels as requested. Nice drink service every evening.
There are free laundry facilities but they get crowded fast and drying can take a long time.
Excellent location, easy walk to main station, everything there.
Luv the free all day coffee and tea along with free massage chairs. Very convenient free on site laundry ( self).
Wonderful service staff.
Bonus. Free happy hour drink in lobby every evening 5pm+
The perfect location from the train station (3 min walk).
The staff very helpful and friendly.
The breakfasts were super good.
Laundromat available on the premises.
We were looking for a last minute hotel for a quick trip to Kyoto. This hotel did not disappoint! Check in was fast and easy. The room was clean and quiet. The hotel was in walking distance to plenty of important destinations. If I had a minor complaint, it would be a step up/down in the room that I kept tripping on in the dark.
We stayed in a rooftop room which was beautiful. The porch had a lot of seating options and the view of the city was lovely. We enjoyed the free welcome drink and complimentary coffee and tea options. The staff were helpful and kind.
We’d stayed here for 5 nights and loved the hotel. Very close to Kyoto station. Seems all the rooms have a small terrace which was lovely. There is an open lounge and refined live music each night. We enjoyed a pizza in the restaurant as well as a welcome drink. We didn’t realise that was available every night of your stay, but the lovely Manager refunded the other drinks we had paid for, a service we certainly expect. We had breakfast once, but that was excellent, buffet style with a huge selection. There are also countless food options within the station complex, as well as a convenience store a minute away. Hotel provides free laundry machine and dryers which was very handy. Easy to catch bus from front of station to the old town, or it’s a 30 minute walk if you’re keen to use legs! We also did day trips to Himeji and Nara from here, so convenient to get JR rail or Shinkansen trains due to proximity to station. Would definitely stay here again.
So convenient for Kyoto station. The room is a good size. Bed was hard and pillows very thin. You get a free drink every night. And there is often live music. Great place to base in Kyoto.
Right across from Kyoto station and like a 2 minute walk from 7/11. Verrry convenient. The staff here were so helpful ESPECIALLY with helping me ship my bags to my next hotel. Special shout to Ms.Ayane and the hotel night staff!
If you like bathing and chilling they’ve got an Onsen 😮💨
The property was conveniently located close to the train station and shopping areas.
However, there were certain areas such as the hallways and elevator that did not appear to be as clean as other properties we stayed in while in Japan.
There are so many things I love about this hotel. First, they are located 2 short blocks from KYOTO Station making it so easy to get around. They also provide guest with free access to onsen and the apparel to wear, a daily complimentary cocktail where you can sit in an open area with two fire and live music for your enjoyment and every room have its own little balcony where you can enjoy your complimentary coffee or tea. Lastly, excellent staff!
Loved the atmosphere of the Sakura Terrace with its free nightly drinks and entertainment. It was nice after a long day walking around Kyoto. The rooms are spacious and the balcony was a bonus. Massage chairs and a simple gym were nice touches. The hotel is not a high rise so taking the stairs was actually a nice option. The room itself could be updated especially the flooring and there was a funky smell from the bathroom but there was plumbing construction calendared to start the day after we left. So hopefully that eliminated that smell. Otherwise I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Lovely calm atmosphere at this hotel. Open courtyard where there is free tea/coffee and a decent welcome drink each day. Please note the hotel does not condone group bookings of more than four people and our group of six was not permitted to sit together (despite being quiet and respectful people). The hotel has a free laundry service which was excellent for mid trip stays. The location is excellent with 2 mins walk to Kyotos main train station and a taxi rank and 7eleven supermarket literally next door. The rooms themselves were basic but had everything necessary. Beds were a little bit soft so not great if you're used to a firm mattress. Overall a decent stay and good value for money.
