The hotel is remarkable. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly friendly the staff were to hotel guests. I felt like I was special and valued as a guest from the moment I checked in..to when I left. Smiles, friendly attitudes and genuine, likeable people who stayed at the hotel really made a difference, IMO. Next, the Welcome Drink ticket we received was a first-timer for us and we couldn’t be happier. The server who made us that drink is 10/10! I cannot remember her name, but she was kind, helpful and knew how to make an amazing fruity cocktail. From peaceful, relaxation in the hot tub to comfortable, cozy bedding, you had the perfect slumber combination. And what a treat to open your curtains and have those breathtaking views every single morning. Family, Friends, Solo Traveller visits are all welcome here. You will not regret booking with this property!

My family and my sister's family visited Hotel Magic Mountain for 3 days over Christmas. The amenities were good - clean and comfortable rooms though very dimly lit with poor hot water pressure. It rained a lot so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor pool much, but the hot tubs were a lot of fun. The sports bar above the restaurant has a fun outdoor seating area where we had dinner on Christmas Eve - service there was extremely slow - several other patrons were noticeably upset at the delay in getting their food. We would have eaten at the main restaurant, but they were charging $85 per person for Christmas Eve dinner. That may have been worth it if it had been a special dinner, but they were serving a basic buffet. It kind of set a bad tone for the rest of the trip for me because it felt like they were trying to gouge their guests.

We stayed 6 nights here and would definately stay here again if we return to La fortuna. The hotel, room and grounds were very clean, staff were very friendly and many speak English if you don’t speak Spanish. The included breakfast was fantastic every morning, we ate at the restaurant for dinner once and it was very good. There are several small Soda restaurants within a few blocks which we ate at several times and many other more tourist restaurants nearby as well. Downtown is about a 1.5 mile walk downhill and there is a small convenience store, grocery store, and sloth trail within easy walking distance. We used Uber for all of are other transportation needs which was always nearby and much cheaper than the local cabs.

i dont know why expedia rated this property highly and price in expedia is much higher than other websites. this is a 2 star hotel… challenging for parking, difficult to get to room, small room, area is not the greatest location

The property was lovely, staff very friendly… Carlos and partner at front desk were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and excursions etc…My only suggestion would be to have wash room facilities at pool area and the beds were abit hard! Overall mostly excellent experience!

The hotel Manager Juan is extremely knowledgeable, curtious, and cares about the guest experience. The hotel staff is well trained, the rooms are spacious , and the view is outstanding. The breakfast is excellent, especially when comparing it to the competition. Its a pleasure to stay here.

Lovely hotel
Lovely rooms and very comfortable beds. Wish the hot tubs were more functional. Manager Juan went out of his way to make us comfortable after a delay in transportation. All staff were very sweet and helpful. The hotel has a bar which is not used cause its not advertised much. It has the opportunity to even convert to a club or lounger.. awesome design there.
