They charge 10 for parking, not 5, as claimed on Expedia. Also, the shower is super tiny, barely enough to turn around in.

Pleasant stay
Connecting rooms were small, but after having read many reviews, was expecting it. Very clean. Very helpful staff. My son's bed was uncomfortable to him. He said mattress was hard and bed was small, but the rest of us were comfortable. Elevator is tiny. Said would fit 4, but more like 2 or 1 with luggage. Close to train station, but don't walk it. All uphill. Overall a pleasant stay

I’ve stayed in hotels all over Europe and the room at this facility was dreadful. The bathroom was so small, you hit your knees on a radiator just trying to get inside, then the sink was in another room. Unless you’re a hobbit, don’t stay here.

We stayed here two nights while visiting D-Day Beaches. We had to pay extra to reserve a parking spot in their private off-street lot. We opted to find our own breakfast in a nearby cafe, which the reception was not too happy about. There is a great bar on the corner down the street, where we drank wine and talked lengthily with locals. Dining was about a half mile away on the river, where there are many restaurants to chose from.

Good basic clean hotel
We needed an overnight stay before an early ferry and were very happy with the Savoy. It is not flash, but clean, comfortable and good value. The staff were very helpful. Great room for us and our three children.

Caen Hotel
The staff was nice enough. Parking was actually available in a private lot in the back. Very convenient and appreciated. Overall, you get what you paid for with this hotel and the price and accommodations were reasonable. We were here to sightsee and not the room.

Excellent place to stay
Very friendly and pleasant place to stay, although the immediate location isn't spectacular. They have the local French daily newspaper available at breakfast - a nice touch. The croissants are good as is the coffee. Think twice if you are large of girth as the lift is tiny! But apart from that we had no complaints. The hotel offers great value for money. The walk into the centre of Caen is about 20 minutes but that would be a quick taxi ride if you are lazy.

nice hotel and perfect for families
Perfect for families. Nice and approachable staff. As a family of 5 the rooms were the right size and we could access the room where we the kids were staying through an inside door what brought us some inner peace. The rooms were tidy and clean. As a part of a family I couldn't ask for more. Great experience.

The hotel as a whole was ok. The only issue was for a booking for 2 people they only had one towel to use, and no A/C available.

Great value, worth the stay
booked this hotel in the middle of the night to replace a disappointing hotel so our expectations were minimal given the last minute nature but were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. As soon as we got out of our car, we were greeted by Saif, the cutest, friendliest 'guard dog' by the back door on 'his' patio. He made no attempt to near us but immediately wagged his tail when we spoke to him. After playing with him & rubbing his tummy, we went inside only to be greeted again by John the owner. He was extremely helpful, spoke excellent English and quickly accommodated our request for a smoking room despite having us down as non-smoking. The smoking room he had available was outfitted as a single room (ie:pillows, towels etc) but corrected these issues before we got our luggage into the room. It was an older hotel, the decor, bedding etc were updated & bright. The room was small for Canadian standards but typical for Europe. Despite being a smoking room, you would never know it! It was fresh & spotless with no odour. The luscious duvet & quality of the towels were incredible. stayed for 2 nights, food was good & reasonably priced. Wifi adequate & tv incl. a few English stations. John was always helpful with directions etc & willing to address any concerns, we had none. reserved parking was always there when we returned & There were no surprises at check out. Would definitely stay here again!

one night during our europe trip
We pulled up at 10pmish to the hotel in a pretty "iffy" neighborhood with everything from crying kids in windows directly across the street and some guys fixing a car....10PM! That pretty much set the tone and sure enough the hotel was less than desirable to say the least. Dark hallways, narrow walls, etc and the room was no bigger than an average size master bathroom. A double bed hardly fit and the "sofa" pull out was strangely arranged in the corner with sheets jammed between the floor and wall no way I was letting my kids put their faces to these sheets. There was no way to get any sheets or extra blankets and the desk guy knew two words in English. We had to go get something to eat, and he did manage to let us know that if we came back after midnight we wouldn't be able to get in as he leaves and locks it all down at midnight. During our meal couple miles away I looked up a different hotel on the other side of town called Adagio and we no joke came back to this one got our stuff and left. Yes, it was $110 down the drain but I just did not see us sleeping here in any way.
