The 1880's Bybee Cottage was purchased from the Bybee Foundation - an organization responsible for helping preserve German immigrant structures in Round Top. The cottage features a king bed, fully renovated bathroom with soaking tub/shower and preserved patina. The front porch includes a French bistro table and one of the best views in Round Top. Located in downtown Round Top and walking distance to some of our favorite local spots. Formerly part of Hotel Lulu.

Antique Weekend with the Fam
Great location and privately set off the road. Nice little lake for you to fish and ride the paddleboat and John boat. Will definitely come back.

Relaxing Get Away
The cabin was perfect for us. In the mornings we would sit out on the back porch with coffee and be surrounded by nature. We had three deer sightings and it was so peaceful. The cabin is newly remodeled had everything we needed to be comfortable and relax. It was an also great location to go antique shopping in RoundTop and LaGrange. The host was gracious and easily available. We would stay there again in the future.

Charming!
Rustic Lake Cabin is very charming and cozy with a spacious living room and kitchen, and the interior cedar walls and rafters are beautiful. The lake and wildlife viewing (tame deer, cute raccoons, blue heron) was delightful, and the gorgeous trees everywhere made for a fairy tale setting. The hosts are very gracious and attentive, and we look forward to spending more time in this special lakefront cabin, in the forest.

Spectacular Place
A quick weekend trip at this cabin was an absolute amazing place. Love the wood of the interior design of the cabin. Very cozy and comfortable. House provided everything you needed for a quick stay. Only minor but wasn’t a big deal was the water very low and we could get the paddle boat out but we did get to see deers walking around. Thanks to the property management for replying back with a timely response on all the questions we needed to stay there. Overall it’s was a great stay!!!

Enjoyed our time at the cabin!
The cabin and the location was wonderful! The cabin was so comfortable and perfect for relaxing with family. The nice backporch, chairs along the bank of the lake, the little dock and pattleboat were wonderful too. Wish we could have used the fire pit down by the lake, but it was just too hot at night. The AC units in the cabin worked out perfectly despite the 100 degree weather outside. And the nice shaded backporch was enjoyed from early morning drinking coffee, and for watching dragonflies and birds to sitting out in the evening hearing soothing sounds of frogs and crickets. Wish we had more time to stay longer.

We were looking for a place that was out of the city, and that would be quiet and relaxing, and this was it! Cabin was beautifully decorated and really enjoyed fishing and watching the wild dear come to the water to drink.

I would just clean the windows and get the cobwebs off. There was quite a bit. I also would clean up the grounds a bit. Other than that, it's a lovely place, We enjoyed it.

Rustic Cabin
A perfect getaway in the middle of nowhere. The interior has been tastefully updated with the guest in mind. The main bed was comfortable and has an on suite. The dining room table was not only beautiful but a nice place the enjoy meals. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook your meals. Everything here has been adequately thought of and bath sheets to boot! Not a single thing was left out at this beatiful cabin. Quiet neighbors, a nice grill to cook your meals on, a dock to fish from and adequate seating outdoors. A great getaway for families or couples looking to reconnect. Would stay here again.

A great place to unwind. We had lots of fun fishing from the boat, relaxing in the hammock and hunting for Easter Eggs. The cabin is well kitted out with everything we needed.

Cute little hideaway
We enjoyed our quick stay. It was a bit colder than we expected for that time of year and it doesn’t have central heat/air so it was a bit chilly and the one window unit we couldn’t get to work. We did cut our trip short for it being too cold and limited heat. Other than that we enjoyed our very short time there.

So peaceful
Loved the location and esthetics of the property, really felt like you were at home. The house has amazing decorative touches throughout. With everything you need during your stay. The lake is very low due to drought, but still accessible. Short drive to downtown La Grange which I highly recommend, such a gorgeous small town. Don’t forget to stop for a burger at Beerz and burgers. Very friendly people with amazing food. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving break!

The perfect getaway!
The property is beautiful and tucked away for the maximum opportunity to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Everything has been impacted by the devastating drought. In spite of the challenges from the drought, this was a perfect cabin to spend some much-needed downtime. The owners have added so many beautiful little touches to the interior and exterior of the property. From the moment I walked into the cabin, I felt the love that went into this cabin by the owners. Everywhere I turned. I found little touches that demonstrated the owners have filled this beautiful cabin with love and special touches. The welcome mat was definitely out! The management team I worked with was absolutely the best! Every inch of the process was handled with the utmost professionalism and exceptional customer service. It was an excellent experience. I can unconditionally recommend this beautiful property for everything from a large family get together to a special getaway to recharge the batteries.
