We were just here one night but we were quite impressed how they have updated this property . The rooms are modern and clean, and the pool area was a great place to relax. We really appreciated that the hotel provided beach chairs and we were able to walk down to the beach and enjoy the sunset.

This was a good value. It was convenient to the beach and was in a good location to find some dining options. They also had bikes on-site that could be rented for a low fee. Desk staff were very kind and helpful. Thanks for a nice weekend getaway!

It was a home away from home. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were the guest of the day which started it off as a fun experience as soon as we received the text hours before check-in. The staff, location, and amenities made this an excellent vacation and we cannot wait to return!!

Peace and quiet are words that doesn’t describe this place. Construction started right next door to the hotel, without any warning at 0600, neither any advisory note via email or from Front desk that would has been considerate. I left sleep deprived and irritated.

I loved the Jacuzzi and the pool and the easy access to the beach. Not so crazy about the $15 to park. It was very cool that they gave us beach supplies for free.

I felt like this was like an upscale motel 6. The pool was nice and well kept, the free coffee was great, the room was updated and renovated and the beds were comfy, tv had plenty channels for all to enjoy. I would just say there are a lot of homeless and junkies in this area on the streets. The location so close to wind n sea was great, but I really felt it was overpriced even with the deal I got. I guess because it was summer and because this is a tourist area by the beach. The staff was friendly. Limited parking, but fairly priced parking compared to other hotels in the area.

We had a great time at The Shoal La Jolla Beach. the room was great and had everything you could possibly need. Yhe staff was so amazing and friendly. We were actually messaged that we were "the customer of the day", which gave us early check in, free bike rental for an hour & late check out, such a nice touch. The location was great walkable to the beach & many resturaunts.
