I've stayed in a number of motels in Lamar over the years. And by far, this is the best one! Clean comfortable rooms, ice cold AC great staff. Easy parking and just blocks away from main street ,

This is a pretty old motel where they still use a normal key. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a fridge and microwave which both worked. Internet service worked well and there were lots of electrical outlets to plug into. There was a table and chair for using my laptop. Breakfast isn't provided so plan accordingly. Didn't use the shower until the morning and found out absolutely no water came out. Both my wife and I tried. Using the bathroom sink had to let the hot water run a long time and it didn't get very hot. Other than the water issue if that was resolved if we were in the area again we would stay here.

I have been to quite a few hotels this trip. I honestly booked this one at the very last minute, as it was my only option along my route. I was nervous pulling in. The manager was so very nice. Showed me to the room. He made sure I knew how to reach him if I needed anything. I walked into the room and let me tell you, I was shocked. It was beautiful! The floors were new a beautiful grey. Large tv, refrigerator, and microwave. It was so clean and smelled so nice. Fresh sheets and blankets. Towels you'd buy for your home. Large shower with toiletries. The walls were decorated with beautiful pieces. It literally felt like I was staying in my friends guestroom. I humbly apologize and thank the Golden Arrow for the best stay i've had thus far. If i absolutely had to pick a negative.... it didn’t have a coffee pot in the room. It did however have one in the lobby!

Property may look at bit rough on the outside but do not let looks deceive you. Very clean rooms and very comfortable beds. I was throughly impressed and would recommend for the price point. Thanks for a great stay!!

The man who checked me in was very nice. The location was good. The price very good. The sheets and bathroom were clean. The area was quiet. Carpet was very stained and the wall that appeared to be carpeted had what looked liked milk stains in it.

The bed was not comfortable, it slanted to the middle. The refrigerator was buzzing through the night. No towel racks in bathroom to hang used towels. The rooms have no soundproofing from outside sources. We received no refund for early departure of second night that we paid in advance.

The property was older looking from the outside but fit the area and to be expected. The area was clean and there weren't people randomly hanging around loitering. The room we stayed in was remodeled, clean and everything appeared fresh and newer. AC worked great but is a unit in the wall and a little loud. All good though, this was the "white noise". Shower is a walk in, big and clean. Shower curtain appeared clean, fresh. Towels were decent, not thin and cheap. Decent toilet paper, not super thin. No extra blankets (but we know they are not needed!!). Only two thin pillows so, bring your own if you like more pillows. Floor was clean. Misty, at the front desk, was very friendly and had the room ready early for us. For the rate, this little motel was better than expected. Location, it is convenient to everything in town.
