Pool Side Safari Cabin

This newly remodeled Safari Cabin is your ticket to a relaxing vacation in the exciting Southern California area. This large master suite and living space with kitchen sleeps 4, with 1 queen bed , 1 sofa bed. You will have a private locked entrance and parking for a maximum of 2 vehicles.

New Queen Serta Perfect Sleeper Elkins II Eurotop Plush has Cool Twist Gel Memory Foam and 825 Custom Support Coil System for those that enjoy a firmer mattress. There is a Costco 4" Memory Foam Topper for those that want to feel like they are sleeping on a cloud. We can have the bed made to your choice, just let us know in advance.

Enjoy this beautiful 750 Sqft space with log-wood paneling, vaulted ceilings, private bathroom and large walk-in closet. The cabin also includes your summer entertainment with games, movies, wifi, boogie boards, and more upon request!

This cabin is located at the back of the main house and you will have shared access to the Pool, Jacuzzi, and Patio with a Gas Fire Pit, lounge area, and access to the BBQ. Please be courteous of the homeowner, access to these shared spaces can be withdrawn at anytime.

Cabin lays on a quiet street that is close to major freeways and 20 minutes from the San Diego Zoo, Beaches, parks, lakes and the Gas-lamp Quarter. Neighborhood is quiet, quaint and friendly with no traffic so you can enjoy the front of the house and large yard with kids. Easy access to main roads and highways.

Also near Lake Murray which has amazing recreation with great fishing, bike paths, hiking and beautiful sunsets.

Access to the entire cabin and outside parking. Parking is limited to only 2 cars. We have security cameras outside to monitor parking as well as keep an eye on security.

We let you enjoy the cabin without bugging our guests, but please let us know if there is anything you need. We will get back to you quickly.

We will check in with you upon arrival and will be available by cell phone or text if you have any questions or concerns during your stay. We want to create a space for you to relax and enjoy your time. Of course we will be available if you need us, our hope is that our cabin would be a relaxing place for you to create lasting memories with your friends or family.

Excellent location to San Diego by car about 25 minutes but we took the train in and enjoyed not being in traffic. The Safari Cabin had such cute decor. It was fully stocked with everything you need plus some. Very clean. The grounds were very lush and green, exactly like the pictures. Beautiful property. The only disappointment for us was the heater in the pool was not turned on and it was very cold. San Diego had an excessive heat warning while we were there for 9 days. We were only able to take quick dips but couldn’t enjoy the pool. We had brought it to Sandy’s attention but for some reason was never turned on during our 9 day stay. Overall we would definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Quiet, peaceful, lots of amenities
I really enjoyed my stay at the safari cabin. It’s in a quiet, safe area which was important to me as a solo traveler. The cabin itself was spotless and well-stocked. The outdoor spaces are wonderful and I’m bummed that I didn’t have time to use the pool. Sandy and her husband were gracious hosts. I would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay with full access to the pool and spa
Our stay at the safari cabin was great. The rooms are bigger than they seem, and our boys truly enjoyed having full access to the pool on a daily basis. Other than 1 day where we went to Legoland, we spent almost all our other time at the property swimming or resting in between with shows. We also loved the putting greens, rope swing, and my youngest loved digging in the sand of the horseshoe pit, which are all on the property grounds. The owners were easy to communicate with and was very friendly. They never hesitated to provide us with anything to make our stay more comfortable. We’ll be back!

Golf and youth soccer getaway
Dad and I stayed in the safari cabin to play some golf and watch my son play in a soccer tournament! Cabin is super clean, quiet, pool and hot tub are outstanding! Did some chipping and putting on the greens in the yard. Was well stocked with many spices and condiments, which was great! Having the coffee pods stocked was a nice plus! Communication with Sandy was great! Will stay again!

Cozy Getaway
I stayed here with my mom and two children (5 years and 7 years). We had the greatest time! The home is beautiful and has just everything that you would ever dream to have. The beds are so comfy, even the pull out bed!! We didn't spend much time at the house, but we did use the pool/hot tub and sitting area one day. They had great floats and toys for the kids to enjoy and the backyard is just so beautiful you could tell you were on vacation staying here. The owners had the sweetest little dog (Roxy) who visited with us, so that was also a huge plus for dog lovers like us! There is so much for kids to enjoy without leaving the place as well: tree rope, horseshoes, golf putting green/sand traps! We felt very safe here and also had privacy. 10/10 would recommend this property and we would love to come back and stay again!

Beautiful Property with all of your needs
This was a Serene, beautiful property with all of the amenities one would need. The Soap in the shower smelled delicious. The hot tub was wonderful. There were games available, and many snacks. They even had bottled water on the counter and in the fridge upon our arrival, which was nice to have since we hadn't gone to the store yet. The bed was comfortable. The host was available for any needs. We will definitely be back.

We're ROARING to visit again!
Our visit to San Diego was made magical by our stay in this Safari Cabin. Hands-down, this was the best rental we’ve ever stayed in, and we will definitely book this cabin the next time we plan a visit to San Diego. Sandy and Paul thought of everything a family could need when vacationing: a myriad of toiletries and condiments and pantry items, kitchen tools and appliances, spare towels and blankets, board games, play dough, puzzles, office supplies, a cooler for the beach, and more. The shower was spacious and comfortable with great water pressure. The table surfaces had glass tops (yay for not worrying about children and coasters!). My husband and I slept on the pull out sofa in the great room so that we could stay up late being adults and I could make my morning coffee without waking the children. We placed the mattress topper from the bedroom onto the sofa bed, and it made the sofa bed extremely comfortable. This rental is also pretty close to some great places: Sarita’s Taco Shop and Santa Sophia Catholic Church. Per my husband: I felt like I was at a resort, but private. The grounds were beautiful and lush, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. You picked good. Per my seven year old: My favorite thing about the safari cabin was the hot tub and water gun. I liked the beautiful cheetah, leopard, and tiger stuffies. Per my six year old: My favorite part was the rope swing! (Verified. It was very difficult to keep her off the rope swing.) Absolutely Wonderful!
We loved our stay! Our hosts comunicated very well and respected our privacy (my family and I mostly keep to ourselves). The Safari Cabin was super clean and organized and was extremely well stocked with anything you might need and more! The master bed was like sleeping on a cloud so very comfortable. My 9 year old daughter slept like a log on the fold out couch and told me she never wants to stay in a hotel again. Check in and check out was very easy and we will be staying at Sandy's the next time we visit San Diego. If you want comfort and quality sleep this place is for you.

Perfect stay! Amazing host!
We recently came from Kalamazoo, Michigan to chase the sun and take a family trip. After canceling a stay at a Hilton in Carlsbad, our family decided to book this amazing place and head to San Diego. My husband and I, & our 6 year old son found this awesome guest house. 😀 The location is excellent and the property has everything you need, but you won’t need much because the property has it all. It was clean, comfortable and very spacious. We stayed during cooler times, so we weren’t able to rake advantage of the pool or the hot tub, but it was lit up beautifully at night. We were there for adventures, and we’re pleased with how close it was to San Diego. We spent one day downtown and on Coronado Island, one day at Legoland (✅ off the bucket-list) and had so much fun. 🥳The yard is breathtaking and everyday I woke up and was reminded about my time living in Hawaii - loved seeing the birds of paradise plants just outside the window. Sandy was an exceptional host, responding promptly when needed. She went above and beyond- so much that she did things for us that other hosts wouldn’t have done, and we were grateful.🙏 We highly recommend you book the Safari Cabin and we hope to be back someday again.
