Terrible first experience that I encountered in One Hotel. The hotel is in a bad location. Very dark at night. The room is smelly. Very old. The bed etc are very old as well. The colour of the tower and bedsheet are brownish. No amenities. I checked out two hours after I checked in to stay in other hotel. The review stated in expendia and other websites aren’t true. Need inspection to the hotel. It should not be recommended to travellers.

Budget worth accommodation
The staff were friendly and attentive. The room was spacious, toilet was clean and general arrangement was appeasing to anyone not expecting a splurge.
The exterior of the hotel looks a bit old, slightly differ from the pics on Expedia.
But the room is actually fine. Spacious, clean, aircond's cold, shower heater working. From my room, I can see the sea & fishing boat pier. The hotel's quite well located, walking distance to the ferry terminal. There's a seafood restaurant & grocery store right next to it. Ample parking spot too. No elevator, rooms are at least 2 floors up the stairs. But note that somehow the only available TV channel is TV3.
It's a place to sleep before journey started next day

Pretty good as a budget hotel
It works fine as a budget hotel. Do not expect too much from this hotel since it isv an old hotel. However it does good with the cheap price. We are living in a family room on the 'first floor' (take note that the first floor is located on the upstairs and there is no lift available, so it might be a little inconvenient for elderly people and for those who carried a large and heavy luggage). The wifi signal is poor in our room as it is at the end of the corridor. Otherwise, everything is good enough if you don't expect anything fancy. The location of this hotel is good as it is located in the town and near to the ferry terminal where you can board on the ferry to Brunei and some areas in Sabah e.g. Kota Kinabalu. There is a chinese seafood restaurant (New Sung Hwa Seafood Restaurant) which recommended by the locals located at the corner of the shoplot (at the 2nd floor, above Fisherman's corner Karaoke). It serves fresh seafood with fair price, so would definitely recommend it for seafood lovers!

Average comfortl old hotel
No lift. Have to walkup the staircase to level 3. Generally old facilities. Only advantage is its cheap.
Friendly front desk staff. Always smiling housekeeping lady. Near to UTC (wet market, dry food market, vegetable market, fruit market & government department building). Sea view with fishing boats and water taxi. Local groceries store and eatery downstairs. Good seafood restaurant recommended by local on the 1st floor at the corner end.
pleasant, spent 2 nights, was clean, old hotel but does the job with the low price

So-so
Stayed for a night. Ok for short stay but wouldn't recommend to stay for long. Conditions are a bit old but still OK. The hotel is a bit far from jetty yet still reachable by walk.
Cons:
- No door latch for extra security.
- The location is highly secluded, not many people around, and awfully dark at night.
- The hotel stairwell and upper lobby is stuffy because they were saving energy and didn't switch on the air conditioning.
Pros:
- Surprisingly spacious for a budget hotel.
- Very clean.
Honestly, the two pros highly outweights the cons. It's total value for money. Definitely staying here again next time.

Fine budget option in Labuan
While this isn't the best accommodation in Labuan by far, it is a fine budget option. Wifi didn't work well in the room but we were in a family room at the end of the corridor so it may have worked better closer to the routers in the centre of the floor. The bathroom wasn't the nicest, just worn and in need of renovation, but it worked fine. Beds were fine as well. Easy ten minutes walk from the jetty at the end of the main road along the waterfront and close to the town and shops.
It's an easy 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal (walk out, turn left, keep going until you see the one hotel logo on the top of the building). The entrance is on the right hand side of the building as you approach.
Considering the approach, the room was very good (and much better than the photo's that you see of this place. We had room 109, on the "first floor", which is actually the first floor of the hotel, you have to climb a couple of flights of stairs to get to this point. on this first floor is a common area with a small kitchen, tables and chairs and a balcony area.
Towels and bed linen were clean. 500 ml bottle of water per person provided and also soap.
The room was large with a queen bed and a large bathroom. TV and effective air conditioning. The shower was good with hot water and strong water pressure. (and it was possible to shower without getting too much of the rest of the bathroom wet).
We had good strong wifi with a good speed while we were here. There was some noise from plumbing in other rooms, and some slightly rowdy other guests, but not for very long.
For Labuan, seemingly reasonable price. There doesn't appear to be any hostels on the island (perhaps someone should open one?)Perhaps a homestay is more affordable (I thought of this after the fact!)- if you can find one!
One hotel has interesting location near the port - great view of water and commercial/fishing boats. Just short walk to restaurants/bars. Also bus station nearby if you want to get away from Victoria and hit the beach on northern part of the island.
