Pictures are deceiving
The downstairs looks amazing and updated. We arrived at 430 and our room wasn't ready so we had to leave and come back. Inside the room it smelled like it had veen snoked in. The bathroom wasnt cleaned completely, hair in the tub, black spots in the shower. Stains on the sink vanity. Blankets are scratchy and bed is a 2 at best for comfort

I don’t believe the pictures represented the actual rooms. The lobby looked like it had been remodeled and it was absolutely clean and gorgeous. The rooms had stains all over the couches and walls. The walls looked like they were dripping with something and what ever it was was thick and looked like it had been there for awhile. When we checked in the lady at the desk was extremely kind and granted us a late check out but told us we may have to remind the cleaning ladies the next day because sometimes they do not get the update in the system. She told us we could check out at 1:00pm. At 12:30 the next day, we got an extremely angry and rude call asking us if we were “stay overs”. I let the lady know that we were granted a late check out and she cut me off mid sentence and started yelling “by who? By who? I was here until 7am.” I kindly let her know I was not sure of the name. And with so much attitude, she goes “nuh uh, no maam” you do not have late check out”. I let her know we were packing and trying to head out as soon as we could and she goes silent and then says “I’ll let the cleaning ladies know”. In the middle of me trying to apologize for the miscommunication, she hung up. We will not being staying at not only this location, but any location after that experience.

After driving through the Atchafalaya Basin
Great last minute booking suite king was a fine room air conditioner working well cooling rooms quickly breakfast plentiful coffee robust hot tea ice water nice pool area downsides: only 1 elevator hallway on my floor not air conditioning nauseous shower spacious clean hot water the bare minimum until fading to cold asked front desk for fresh towels before leaving Saturday morning none received but they granted me a late checkout and that's a plus (however I think the standard 1 hour later should be 2 when necessary requested honestly in person at the desk America the Beautiful make it Beautiful with less corporate mandates restrictive rigid policies at the prices we all have to pay now and especially when hotels arr are under construction
