Great algarve stay for the price
This was a great place to stay for the low price. There are two bedrooms, two baths and two large outdoor patios. However, there are a few things to be aware of. The sea views shown in some photos are not from the property. Additionally, we saw roaches a few times, though the house was cleaned well. Lastly, there was a damp smell throughout the house. At first we thought it was just the humid weather but after washing our clothes discovered it is likely from the washer so we wish we wouldn’t have washed our clothes as they came out stinkier.

Wonderful stay in Carvoeiro!
What a beautiful place to stay!! Very clean, perfect for two couples. Beautiful views. Bring good shoes if walking to beach- to me and my group, it was perfect, but if mobility issues may be difficult. Wish I could go back.

Lovely property but....
the house and facilities were brilliant. Very steep walk to the centre and communal pool and therefore anyone with difficulty walking would be better to look elsewhere.

Carveiro villa holiday
Before continuing, I need to point out the property we stayed at was a lovely villa, part of a community os identical units. It was lovely but it is NOT the photo above. It was very confusing driving there: while getting higher up the mountain, it was decidedly not going to be the photo of property booked. This should be corrected. Really. Otherwise, the place was lovely and well located a 10 ish walk down to beach. We never did find the pool.

Good place to stay
The property is just as advertised. It is clean and well maintained. Herbert was east to communicate with and ver my responsive. The location is good but walking down to the town center (and particularly back) will be difficult for anyone with any mobility limits.

Great place.
Great place! The only thing that would have made our time even better is for additional or stronger fans since there is no air conditioning. The two oscillating fans were not enough for the whole family. Again, still loved our time here otherwise.

Beautiful vacation home with details
Such a cute villa with lots of characters, it’s well equipped and has nice kitchen utensils. I didn’t realize there was no air conditioning until I checked in. Two tiny fans in bedrooms didn’t do much. It was very hot inside, no breeze coming in so we had hard time staying upstairs and even sleeping for our entire stays. It could have been a much pleasant stay if it was not summer time. It’s nice providing a house keeping everyday but fans were so dusty (didn’t even want to use it but I had to because too hot..) and specially the washing machine was extremely gross. I ended up spending an hour to clean inside to do some laundry

Clean and quiet
This small condo was immaculate & well equipped. Be aware that the bedrooms and bathrooms are down a winding staircase. Also, the condo is located on a steep hill, so if you cannot manage the walk uphill, you will be dependent on your car for all excursions, as we were.

Had a fantastic stay in Carvoeiro, great apartment with the perfect sun trap on the roof for relaxing. The cleaner is fantastic and even pops in and give the apartment a quick clean during our stay.

Elegant home by the sea
Herbert's place was great and perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed cooking, eating out on the balcony and generally hanging out around the house when we were not out and about Carvoeiro or on the beach. The house is well-furnished and fully equipped with modern appliances. Herbert was always responsive and answered our various queries as they came up. It was nice to have the daily maid service also.

The property was just as described. It has a lovely large terrace which was nice to sit out on at the end of the evening. Fantastic location for all of the shops, bars and restaurants of Carvoeiro.

Incredible location! Spotless clean apartment.
From A-Z this apartment ticked all the boxes. Spotless clean. Close walking distance from beach and town centre. Apartment nice and cool inside albeit summer heat outside. Beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean. The rooms are spacious with big built in cupboards and very comfortable large beds with fresh bedding. The kids loved the huge, clean communal pool in the afternoons after a morning on the beach. Carvoeiro itself is gorgeous with loads of hidden beaches and gems. The amenities of this apartment are great especially the dishwasher and washing machine. The only thing we missed was an outside barbecue but that is just because our family love to and would barbecue every night if we could. We stayed over a weekend so couldn't appreciate the housekeeping during the week but the house is super well maintained. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Hope to be back!

Charming fishing village
The villa was beautifully decorated and has fantastic views. The location was perfect with a short walk into the charming little village of Carvoeiro. One constructive comment would be the strong burnt ash smell from the fireplace that is always lingering.

It's a great place!
Carvoeiro is a beautiful town that has everything you'll need and more! We enjoyed our stay at Colina Branca 17, it is a great location ,within a 10 minute walk to town, just remember you have to walk back up the hill to get home, or it's a 3 minute drive but parking can be hard to find. The Villa is a townhouse style with enough parking for 2 small cars. The photos you see on line are spot on to what the unit looks like. There are 3 floors, main is the entrance, kitchen, living room with dining table and main terrace. Top floor is the rooftop sundeck and the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs. If you have an mobility issues the stairs are a tight stone spiral and could be an issue. Everything was spotlessly clean however there was a horrible damp musty smell that just would not go away. We aired it out constantly and it became a little less offensive but I think we just got used to it. The main terrace is perfect! Lots of comfortable furniture and a great view.The unit has wall heaters in the bedrooms, main bath and main floor. The nights were cool so the heaters and fireplace were needed. Just remember electricity is extra unless you include it in your rent. There is a washing machine, no dryer but the rooftop is the perfect place to hang your clothes to dry. The management company was a pleasure to deal with, they answered all questions quickly and when asked for help they were there to lend a hand as needed. The cleaning ladies were the best!!! Would we rent this unit again? Yes we would if a few changes were made. I understand that between the time we initially rented this unit and when we arrived it was sold to a new owner. So as a seasoned VRBO renter all over the world I would like to make a few recommendations to the new owner. I offer these to you so it will make a renters stay more comfortable and enjoyable and encourage them to rent from you again. Here they are... Replace the living room furniture, it is BRUTALLY uncomfortable! A comfy sectional sofa, chair and ottoman would be perfect. Beach towels, at least 2 folding beach chairs, an umbrella and a little cooler would be nice. Full instructions to all appliances in English would be helpful. All in all potential renters it is a great little place to call home for a month or more or less. All the best Shelley & Tom from Cambridge Ontario, Canada.

Perfect Getaway Spot
We stayed at 17 Colina Branca for four weeks in February. It was perfect for us. 113 steps from the "IN Road" and 5 minutes to the center of town. 2 very nice bedrooms downstairs and 2 full bathrooms. You can hear the ocean on a nice night. We fell in love with Carvoeiro. Not too big and not too small. It was very comfortable to walk around. Friendly people and great food options. The house could use a name, I vote for "House on the Hill". The only issue and it is not really an issue, is that there is too much outdoor furniture. I am not sure why you need seating for 24 people (on two patios) when the house only sleeps four. It is very nice furniture, just too many cushions to take in and out every day. In Summary. We would recommend this house for anyone and especially ones that like a little walk to work up an appetite.
