A good basic hotel, no frills, rooms pleasant enough, but no tea/coffee making facilities or a TV in the rooms. The only TV was in the lounge/den which seemed to be fixed on one Portuguese station. A very nice terrace, but because of a new build the "ocean view" was severely restricted. Breakfast was continental style, which was served by the staff, ordinary plebs, sorry guests were not allowed anywhere near the hot water or the juice machine. The best attribute this hotel has is it's staff, particularly Madra, very friendly, excellent English, lots of local information. The down side for this hotel is the constant dogs barking especially in the evening.
