Paradise
We felt so lucky to have found this place! Its secluded, peaceful, and in the country side of Laie. We had everything we needed for the 6 nights we stayed. Warm showers, mini split cooling, pots and pans to cook with, and very comfortable beds. I booked it and suprised my husband with the ultimate visit. No crowds just stars at night and a ukelele to play on the porch. The owners are special people who went out of their way to help us enjoy Laie and the north shore. Aloha ❤️

Wonderful
This property is wonderful. It’s not near other residential areas but that’s what made it so great. It was quiet, clean and spacious. The showers were a perfect temp with great water pressure. We had a packed vacation so we were at the property often but it was blissful.

Beautiful country setting
Just our style. Country sounds and gorgeous landscape. Even the uncle’s place looked like American Pickers (Hawaiian style) and sneaking through was as exciting as it was as a kid without the neighbor yelling to get off his lawn. Just a short beautiful walk to a gorgeous empty beach and a short drive to the north shore. Not for those looking for a resort experience but perfect if you enjoy a glamping experience. We loved it!

Birds and Beauty
We stayed 4 nights with our 2 grade school-aged kids and they loved all the animals around the property - any bird lover will be astonished by the variety & beauty of their sights and sounds. The house was freshly clean, 2 AC units cooled it quickly and the beds were comfortable. The owner came by and taught the kids how to shuck a coconut and it was a highlight learning experience (it’s hard work :). I loved that we were an easy driving distance to North Shore, Waimea and Sharks Cove. Having Hukilau beach a couple minute drive for the end of the day for sunsets was also ideal. It was the kids 1st trip here and we had a wonderful time.

Peaceful tiny house in the country
We stayed here after going to the PCC so we didn't have to drive back to Honolulu with our internal clocks on East Coast time. It was a great place to stay the night, definitely small (around 24'x20' overall in 3 rooms?), but waking up and hearing the birds was great, and it had everything we needed. Great place to go and get away without being too far out of the way (we continued across the North Shore and went on to visit Pearl Harbor). We found had a couple of minor maintenance issues with the bathroom, but they didn't impede our using them and I am told they are being fixed. Great communication from our host and we enjoyed our stay!

Rural Retreat
We had an absolutely fabulous stay in this “Tiny Home”. The unit was very clean which is a must for me. The location was quiet and away from the noise and bustle from the city, just a short 5 minute walk to beautiful Hukilau Beach. Some points to note when staying here would be that all cooking must be done via electricity. The kitchen appliances include a two burner hotplate, toaster, rice cooker, single cup coffee maker (you can bring your own grounds to use in the reusable filter), and microwave. The fridge was apartment size with plenty of room and no issues with the fridge part freezing food or the freezer melting as we have experienced in other rental units. AC works well but only needed occasionally as we could often get a nice breeze through the screened windows. What really made this stay awesome though was our hosts. We really felt like we had come home to family upon our arrival. Sam and Jansen were easy and quick to communicate with and we loved the lesson on coconuts and some of the local Hawaiian history.

All recommendations had a personal story or touch that made it a unique experience. Even when at a busy stage of their lives Jansen and Sam took the time to explain with details how to move around the area and learn about coconuts and fruit trees. Loved the access to great beaches and native culture

Wonderful Stay
We loved staying here! The hosts were wonderful, kind, and very responsive. When my husband mentioned he loved coconuts they cut and husked some off the trees on the property for him. It was so nice to have beach chairs/snorkel gear/boogie boards to use while we were there. The location is great if you eant to explore the north shore!

Good communication but everything else needs improvement.
Three adults stayed here for 5 nights. Let's start off with the good points. Pros: Good communication from the host. Boogie boards and snorkeling gear for use. I needed a beach umbrella and the host made sure we got one. Comfortable beds. The Cons: The host apparently has a beef with her uncle who lives nearby. We were cautioned to drive slowly past his house to avoid him yelling at us. It wasn't a problem but it didn't feel very welcoming. The place needs a thorough cleaning and updating. It is apparent that at some point there was significant water damage in the unit evidenced by the delamimating particleboard doors and furniture. We could not, after 5 days, figure out how to temperature regulate the shower, either scalding hot or cold, only a few seconds of warm before a swing back to the other extreme. No outside area to relax in. There were two chairs and a firepit in the driveway/parking lot at the front of the house but not somewhere you'd want to sit and relax. Only a few electrical outlets worked. No trim work, exposed foam insulation around cracks. Lots of little cosmetics things that made the place look neglected. Broken curtain and towel rods. Black towels and cheap black polyester sheets on the twin beds. Imo, linens should be white or light colors so you know they're clean. All in all I would not recommend or stay again

Wonderful in cute tiny house
It is called a tiny house but it had plenty of room, didn't feel small at all. The location was fun, tucked away just a couple minutes off the main road surrounded by green. It was easy to find and plenty of beaches and places to eat on the main road. The host was so helpful and responsive - I would love to go back!

We were immediately greeted by a beautiful bouquet of flowers from our house for our 25th wedding anniversary. Such a great personal touch. The host was very easy to get in touch with for any questions that we had. Our location on the north shore was just what we wanted to experience Oahu

Cozy Stay in Convenient Location
The La'ie tiny home was perfect for our stay. We were travelling through town for one night after a day at PCC. We were so glad to have a short drive after a long day in town. The entire space, bed, and especially AC were comfortable and the kitchenette useful to have. Our main regret is not getting to use all the extras for cooking and outdoor fun. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

Great Relaxing Stay!
Overall this was a great experience. The location was exactly what we wanted—out in the country towards the North Shore. The place was quaint and clean, the bed was comfy so we slept well. It’s country, so be prepared for roosters, but that’s completely understandable to us and didn’t bother us at all. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay! Many thanks to our hosts!

50th Anniversary trip
This is a great "tiny" house away from the noise and bustle of the city. Located on the north shore of O'aho it's near a lot of great beaches, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and a real grocery store. Using only 3 to 4 roads you can get anywhere on the island within an hour. We loved the country feeling, waking up with the chickens and learning about coconuts and breadfruit from our hosts. They are the friendliest, most helpful hosts one can imagine.
