Perfect house for a getaway
Loved being in a cove as the little ones learned to paddleboard alone. Lake was very quiet. Perfect setup for the size and configuration of our family. Kids enjoyed “running “ the bar. We all had a very good time and are considering another stay. Thank you!

Lake House Stay
This is a beautiful house on a beautiful, quiet lake. The kitchen and living area function very nicely although sound travels to upstairs bedrooms loudly. The view on the lake is very peaceful and amazing. We took full advantage of the peddle boat and even the stand-up kayaks. Two refrigerators were wonderful, and the bar downstairs is fun! One interesting note is there are two bedrooms up and two down that was not clear to me in the listing, but it worked out. The two showers are very small. There is no ice maker and no ice cube tray. The locks on the doors are interesting, and we had trouble with the dining room slider. Overall, we had a fanatastic time here.

Underwhelmed
Been to a few properties now and think this was the least nice but most expensive! Location on Lake was not good, more like a pond. It was very hot in the house so bought a few fans to help. Just a bunch of odd things.. like the mystery loft in the master? No dresser in master? No curtains anywhere not even front door that looked into major road! I would move dinning table in front of main, back windows and swap with furniture. Seemed odd that the furniture faced away from the windows and not even facing tv. Would rather have enjoyed meals in front of window to take in view. Positives- Location was great. Close to big and small towns. Lake was very quite. Check out process was nice, not needing to clean the whole house and do laundry etc. Fire pit was used nightly.

Great experience
We had an awesome time at this VRBO. Everything was very clean and had all we needed for the kitchen and bathrooms. The deck was extremely peaceful and we loved drinking coffee out there every morning. The dock and paddle boards were the perfect extra touch too. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic Stay
Pictures don’t do this property justice. The view of the lake is beautiful and having multiple bedrooms on both floors, several people can sleep comfortably. The house was clean and stocked with everything needed for cooking, showering, etc., and there was even a closet packed full of board games for all ages. Additionally, the town of Lake City is five minute drive away for your food or shopping needs. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful house in a quiet, peaceful location.

Very Good Stay!
We had a very good time visiting this property. The views and outdoor seating options were very good. My father-in-law enjoyed fishing off the dock while my son enjoyed jumping off of it. The lack of AC seemed like it would be an issue when we arrived, but once we got the windows opened up it cooled down nicely and was not an issue after the first day. However, permanent screens in the windows would be a nice addition. If you like ice cream (especially with large servings), visit the Tasty Treat in Lake City. Marty's was a nice option for takeout. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay!

Great winter lakehouse getaway!
Thank you for sharing your spacious, quiet lake home property and responding quickly with great local hiking and x-country trail recommendations. We enjoyed the best of Michigan outdoors and walking the frozen lake, cooking, and warming up in front of the easy to operate, cozy gas fireplace. The property was also an easy half hour drive to the beautiful North Country Trail in the beautiful Manistee National Forest and Caberfe Peaks. We hope to enjoy it again in the summer!

Great house and location needs repairs.
The overall experience was great the property and house were nice. The only issues were repairs to somethings in the house. All handrails were loose, bathroom sink never drained well from the first day in the basement bathroom, there was a rug covering up a wet moldy rug in the laundry room and a screen with a big hole in it downstairs. I bought some damp rid to take away the musty smell.

Beautiful Weekend Getaway
Stayed here last weekend with 7 of my friends & sisters for a girl’s trip and was very satisfied with this property! Beautiful location with a private dock. The built in bar downstairs was fun and it was decently private. One house next door had a lovely couple and no one was in the other house so we felt like we had enough privacy. There was a bit of trash outside and the water was a little murkier than we expected but the paddle boards & paddleboat still allowed us to enjoy the water. We even had a sea plane land right in front of us on the lake so that was an awesome experience!! It is buggy at night but they provide screens you can insert in the windows. No A/C so the two box fans they had were helpful & we also brought a few extras of our own. The house was cozy though and we used the propane grill a couple of times with no issues. Beautiful view. Overall we would recommend this place if you’re looking for a getaway for a few days!

Great for winter!
We didn’t know if a lake home would be that great in the winter but it was terrific! They had a lit Christmas tree waiting for us. The lake was frozen so we could cross country ski and ice skate all over the lake. There is a very cozy fire place, too. We had 7 (almost) adults and had plenty of room. The few issues we had were immediately resolved with such kind communication and explanations of it being a new property and the kinks were being worked out. We would recommend bringing some of your own dishes and mixing bowls/utensils if you’re going to cook your meals. Due to covid rules, they can’t fully stock the kitchen until this pandemic is over.
