This place is nasty! With sanitized wraps around the toilets, you lift the seat and there is fecal matter all under the seat and on the bowl. There were pee stains on the top of the seat!! There was a bag of trash left in front of our condo from the previous people that was there the entire time! I called the front office and told them everything that was gross and wrong and they told me they could/would not do anything until the next day and that I had to DEAL WITH IT UNTIL THEN!!! RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Otherwise be prepared to clean upon arrival!

The place is clean, I was supplied with what we needed for our stay and kitchen is fully equipped, it’s a golf course, very pleasant, and it’s gated there is security lots of places to walk there is a waterfall near by I travel with family, my children went on walks early morning to the waterfall near by and chilled by the fireplace at night, has a chimney it’s very nice at night, works great, there is a small laundry area, there is 3 levels master is comfortable size and has its own bathroom. Overall was a great experience. It’s at the top of the mountain, and does have all the dining options and shops at the bottom. Groceries near by as well. Check out it’s at 10am, has balconies to seat and relax sip coffee, hot cocoa, lovely weather too, oh we even spotted a bear so yes! There are bears roaming the property, for us that was a plus.

Great for price for family getaway to Chimney Rock
We overall had a nice stay. We were pleasantly surprised. I wasn't aware from the listing that we'd be staying at a resort in someone's time share. The image pictured was not accurate for our location. We were essentially on the end of a quadruplex building. The views were phenomenal from our unit. We were towards the front of the resort and had full access to the amenities. It was a tri-level building which should be noted for families with young children or anyone with accessibility issues. We unfortunately did encounter a few dead cockroaches during our stay near the sliding doors. We were provided with everything we needed for our stay though. Lots of blankets, pillows, kitchenware, paper products, etc. The beds were comfortable and we had lots of room. Even enjoyed the recliners in the living room.

This property has a wonderful view of the mountains and lake. We enjoyed our quiet and comfortable stay here. A black bear was enjoying the acorns regularly outside our unit. We enjoyed watching him/her.

Beautiful Location
The condo was in an awesome location with a ton of amenities that were able to be used. The location is near lake lure, chimney rock, and apple orchards. It was a really enjoyable weekend to visit the mountains of NC. I would highly recommend staying in the area and this particular condo.

I can't express how absolutely wonderful our stay at Fox Run at Rumbling Bald was. We came to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. Beautiful accommodations and property. We will absolutely stay again and highly recommend to others.

Rumbling Bald is a wonderful place to stay! Only complaint is that the property smells like mildew & some areas were damp inside.

At first sight the the place was brilliant. For the most part it was. Was discouraged to find several dead palmeto bugs in the unit (8 to be exact) easily remided. Then when my daughter pulled out the sofa sleeper there was a lot of debris and bug pieces. Again easily remided with a quick vacuuming. When i mentioned it I was shrugged off. The thing that left a bad taste was when I asked about a late check out. I was quickly told "we dont do that here". We also basically had to clean the place before leaving. All linnen was expected to be stripped and piled as well as the towels. Typically i dont mind as i usually do this anyway, however I felt like I did extra and they werent very accommodating. Still willing to give it another chance it was beautiful views and so relaxing despite the little hiccups.
