Neighborhood Overview
Northstar Resort and Village is truly a destination for all seasons.
Featuring downhill and cross-country skiing/snowboarding, ice/roller skating rink, equestrian center, recreation center, fitness/gym center, multiple pools and premier tennis courts, 18-hole golf course, restaurants, shopping and galleries, summer mountain bike park, 24-hour security and complimentary shuttle service for owners and guests.

Our home is located in a convenient location within the Northstar Properties, near the golf course and less than a mile away from the ski slopes, Village, Ritz Carlton Highlands and (only 15 min away from Lake Tahoe itself).

Village amenities also include: children’s ski school and day care, equipment rentals, season/day lockers, overnight ski and basket check.

Another shuttle bus - Truckee Trolley - will take you to Truckee, an “old west” town filled with shopping and gourmet restaurants.

Northstar is close to Squaw Valley, Boreal and Alpine Meadows Ski areas and only 10 minutes away from Kings Beach at Lake Tahoe, 15 min to gambling and entertainment at the Nevada State Line and only 32 miles to Reno

Getting around
Free, on-call, 24-hour Shuttle is available for our guests - door to door transport to all Northstar facilities. The property is less than a mile from the Northstar Village and main slopes and right on the golf course, with access to many hiking trails in the area.

Other things to note
Guests have access to all of the Northstar Homeowners amenities and Recreation Center which includes: 3 outdoor hot tubs, olympic size kid’s swimming pool with new water play features, heated lap pool, tennis courts (Northstar Tennis Program rated in the top 25 resorts nationally), saunas+showers, game room with billiards/air hockey/ping pong, updated health and fitness center. *note: daily entry fee ofperson for recreation center access

Massage therapy also available, but for a more “luxe” experience we suggest going to the Ritz Carlton just up the hill for a massage. Thank you for visiting our home.

I have found clarity and understanding helps with perception of your expected experience.

This is a large house that hosts larger groups. The larger the group, the more the entire group needs to fully understand the experience they signed up for.

Great location and wonderful stay!
Overall, this is a great cabin for a large group. We had a lot of fun. The home is somewhat old and some of the furniture is run down, but we would love to be here again! The location is quite central and it was very easy to go in and out!

great location and space for large families
Enjoyed our stay here for a large family gathering. The space was perfect for multiple families. The open space out back allowed us to just walk out to play in the snow. The house was clean and had enough basic supplies for the stay. One of the shower doors was broken and some kitchen cabinet hinges was broken, but both did not disrupt the stay or use of the space much. Just note: check out requires trash removal, cleaning of all dishes and towels. We would definitely book again for future visit.

Another great stay
As always, we had a great stay at this cabin. As noted the house is showing some wear and tear but the spaces for a large group cannot be beaten. The kitchen is well equipped for a large group. The floor plan allows for the whole group to be together and also has separtate area for small groups to gather. We love snow play on the golf course behind the house. The hot tub is great. We will be staying there again.

Great size place!! Needs some TLC
The size of the house and location was perfect!! we had all the amenities but we found many things to be in need of attention with this place. Upon arrival the lights in several areas were out, many outlets didn’t work, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working (including all cable internet) - not a great start! We also encountered broken appliances, leaks, and old/tattered/missing linens. The owner was somewhat responsive but most of the issues persisted through the four night stay. We love this area and are grateful for a cozy home filled with silly signs and you can tell the owner really has a fun personality!

Property is in disrepair but is a great space for a large group
This is a great space for a large group but unfortunately many many things are in disrepair. Primary suite had a broken window, duct taped blinds, sheets with tears and elastic that no longer works. Cabinet doors off the hinges in the kitchen. The pool table is unusable because of some type of liquid on the felt. The cabinets, carpets, furniture are all very worn. We had to repair a few of the arms on the dining room chairs in order to use them. On the upside, the place was festively decorated for Christmas, the kitchen has almost everything you might need, the driveway has ample parking, the hot tub and gas fire pit on the back decks were great and we loved Northstar Resort and Village.

All inclusive family fun
This was a great property for my family’s Christmas vacation. Plenty of rooms, beautiful cabin decor, and tons of activities for all ages. The owner was great at maintaining communication throughout our stay and answering any questions. He was also super friendly and even decorated the house for Christmas and left us a bottle of wine. I would definitely recommend this property for a family gathering, nobody had any complaints.

Perfect for a family reunion and gathering!
This property is advertised very accurately and has everything you need to ensure a great gathering for a large group! The room set up is ideal, the kitchen is amazing, the sitting areas are all very usable, and if you want a variety of fun and games to keep everyone entertained (inside and out!) ... you got it! We had a family gathering of 18 people (15 adults and 3 kids) and we had plenty of room for everyone. The location is great, the home is wonderful and all of our communication with Steve was excellent. Would happily stay here again and would recommend it for other's consideration. What great memories we created in this great home!

Great Stay!
Steve’s place was exactly as advertised. The location was incredible, the house was extremely spacious and had everything we needed. The outdoor area was beautiful and there were plenty of games to keep us entertained all weekend. Steve was extremely responsive with anything we needed. He was super easy to work with! Overall, I’d recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in a nice, quiet area of Tahoe.

In Truckee for a Wedding
Beautiful house, with great views on the golf course. We were in town for a wedding and used the house to stage our some of our activities. There are lots of great common areas to enjoy, great kitchen, nice yard and games, we had a great time.

Amazing Property
First off let me start by saying Steve was amazing! Anytime I had a question prior to our stay he was very quick to respond. While at the residence the power went out due to a nearby fire in North Tahoe and Steve called me to provide information he received from the power company. Even with the power out we made the best of our time at the house. There were so many games and activities keeping us busy. Also there were a lot of flashlights around the house which was nice. Something you don’t think about until you need them. Now to talk about the kitchen. The kitchen had everything you need. Pots, pans, larger pots/pans, multiple coffee machines, seasonings, utensils. It was overall a GREAT home and experience. Will definitely be coming back in the future for our family vacations

Fabulous place to stay!
This home is in a beautiful location near Lake Tahoe and the Northstar Ski Resort. The home has lots of space and plenty of things to do for every age group. The hot tub, pool table, horseshoes and golf area were favorites of our grandchildren. The kitchen was well stocked with large bowls, large pots/pans, and every cooking implement we needed including 2 waffle irons. We loved staying there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was perfect, worked, and so much to do, not only on property but in the surrounding area. We used the home for a family reunion of about 18 folks and just the right amount of room for everything!

Spacious but lots of broken pieces.
I reached out multiple times to host via phone as he said was ok, but never got an answer. Although we made the best of our trip, we did have a lot of issues in the house. A lot of the lights, especially in the downstairs main areas (both living rooms, dining room, game area and kitchen) were not working. Also a huge issue we had was there was no hot water in half the house mainly the bathrooms upstairs and downstairs by the kitchen. Another issue we ran into was the pullout sofa bed on the 2nd floor, near the stairs is broken and extremely uncomfortable. The fireplace in the kitchen den doesn’t work. Neither did the outside propane firepit (we had to buy a lighter to start it). Some of the chairs cushions in the game area dining room are torn up. Some of the outlets in the bathrooms are not working. Also we had to put something over the missing light switch cover in the game room because of the electrical hazard it was (we have little ones). 2 bathroom doors don’t lock (including the half bathroom downstairs. Kitchen faucet is completely loose and wobbles. Horse shoe pit iron pole was broken, but we fixed it. Upstairs far bedroom with 2 beds has a broken/ loose wall lamp and some broken blinds on the window. Yes, we understand most of this is cosmetic and materialistic, however we felt that with the amount of money we invested in this trip for the week, we had higher expectations. Place has potential but needs work and would like better communication.
