Could not get Vacasa to get heat for us
We have stayed in this house before without issue. This time no heat was provided for downstairs where there are 3 bd and 2 ba. The house was not clean. Several maintenance items require attention like dishwasher and shower door falling off. Garbage bins were full. Unit is managed by Vacasa. Contacted Vacasa for refund or to be moved to another unit. No help offered. Computer generated messages. Do not use Vacasa if you can. Not responsive.

No heat, no help
Both the heat and the hot water went out at our rental. Communication with Vacasa was one-way: we called their national number and asked for help, they did nothing for over 12 hours, and then the help was ineffective. At the end of the second day we were moved into a new property that was freezing cold, but that at least warmed up to near-normal temperatures by the next afternoon (with the help of two space heaters we bought ourselves). We contacted them about a refund and have heard nothing.

On a busy street
The house was perfectly comfortable, although dated. We were very disappointed that Vacasa did not disclose that there is very bad road noise when the windows are open. The house is right on the major thoroughfare.. I imagine in the winter, it is not a problem. But in the summer we needed to open the windows in the evening to cool the house off. Sitting on the deck was virtually out of the question.

Great Family Dpace
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even if the weather wasn’t quite spring weather! The space and amenities were great. Plenty of room to spread out and spend together or go somewhere quiet. We loved the location and the house! I would definitely recommend.

What a getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was just as advertised. There was more than enough space and it was close to emerald bay (our family favorite) as well as other swimming locations. It was close the eagle rock trail (easily a 7 minute walk) and 10 minutes from the grocery store. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything our family needed and there was plenty of linen and bath amenities (even though we packed our own). It was a nice quiet location away from the resort/hotel noise that can sometimes be a nuisance. The beds were comfy and made for a good nights rest. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family and we would definitely stay again. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great Cabin
All was good except outdoor garbage cans were 80% full when we arrived so we had to take garbage with us. Kitchen/dishes were dirty, had to rewash a lot of dishes. Couch pillows were crusty, may want to replace. Everything else was in great!!

Lake Tahoe Getaway
We traveled to Lake Tahoe for a couples trip to celebrate two birthdays and we enjoyed our stay at this property. It provided a nice cabin feel and was just a short walk to the lake and hiking trails. The house was well equipped with supplies including linens, toiletries, kitchen utensils, etc. The heating worked well and portable heaters were provided. The check in and check out process was seamless. We had a little trouble with the cleanliness of one of the guest rooms although the house was otherwise very clean. We would stay here again.

Nice, large house
This house is big and beautiful, but the photos of the surrounding area isn't accurate. It's not a quick walk to the beach. I'm not sure why the bridge pic is in there, and the recreation area was nowhere to be found. Also, I sent multiple emails asking about the bikes with no answer. Luckily we brought our own because none of them were functioning. The code to get in was wrong too. On the plus side, we were able to kayak at the beach once we found it. The neighborhood is beautiful too and it's a great place to ride bikes. The bike path is right there. The house was clean with plenty of room for 6-8 adults and kids. I recommend this place if the pictures were explained and the bikes were removed from the list of equipment at the house. We really had a great time.

Fun tahoe trip
Had a hard time contacting rental agent. Enjoyed our stay. The home was large with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. It is dated. The beach and association pier shown in the pictures is not the one that goes with the house. The one shown is at Sunnyside, about 3 miles away. We enjoyed the location and would rent it again.

Big house, great price for the size
There is plenty of room for 10 people here. We loved the open concept for plan so we could all congregate in the kitchen/dining room/living room. It is even bigger than the photos. If you plan on cooking a lot this is the place for you! I've never seen such a well stocked kitchen in a vacation rental. It has every pot/pan/utensil you would need. It also has a grill in the garage that worked well! There house is a bit dated but that seems to add to it charm. We liked the location, 2 blocks walk to beach, nice bike path right there. One of the 3 bikes had flat tire. Some negatives- the key code was not provided when we arrived, only the garage code, so we were locked out. I called Vacasa and they helped me with that pretty quickly and we got in ok. The hot water was not working right, we took fairly cold showers our whole stay. I didn't call them about that because it seemed someone would have a hot shower and I thought it was better, but then it would be cold again. So hopefully this will be fixed for future guests.

A wonderful property
So glad we found your property for our family vacation. It was very comfortable for our eight people. The location about 6 miles from Tahoe City was most convenient. We climbed on Eagle rock and went into the city for a boat trip on the lake. We also visited several beaches. Can't think of anything negative except that you need to be able to climb the stairs from the front door to the kitchen and living room. Having the master suite on the second floor does help if you have someone who can't climb constantly.

Like Staying at a Lodge
Tahoe Lodge is located less than five miles from lively Tahoe City, and close to Homewood, Alpine, Squaw and Northstar resorts. The days we stayed were snowy so we didn't see much of Lake Tahoe, but you knew it's vastness was nearby. The house has plenty of room for friends and family. The beds were all comfortable with soft and warm sheets -- so cozy. Although we didn't use the gas fireplace in the master bedroom, it's a cool feature. The kitchen design is a throwback to the 70's and 80s, but everything worked. Plenty of cups, plates, utensils, and counter space. The heat takes awhile to warm up the house so start it earlier than you need it. In Tahoe City, we shopped at Safeway, which is a super-sized Trader Joe's and rented skis from Tahoe Dave's and their super friendly and helpful staff. There's also another market closer to the house on West Lake Boulevard. Overall a really fun stay in one of our favorite parts of the US. I would rent this house again.

Thanksgiving
We have rented this cabin before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Location is great, outside of the high traffic zone but close enough to all activities. However, this time we were extremely disappointed in the management's response to a problem. The heater in the master bedroom did not function so it was a very cold 50 degrees the first night. We felt that the response to our call to management was rude and dismissive - "well, it's Tahoe" - argumentative and non- responsive. Told us to use more blankets and said it had never happened before. After a few hours, another phone call resulted in some space heaters, which could have been a quick solution earlier in the day without the rudeness. We would have been satisfied with that.

Huge house, convenient to lots of ski resorts.
----Good----- - The living room area is large and open, everyone can hang out together comfortably. - Getting into the apartment is easy, the key is hung on the door in a lockbox. - Convenient to several ski resorts. We did Squaw, Alpine, Heavenly and Homewood. - Not far from Tahoe City, short drive to some good restaurants and stores (definitely check out the West Shore Market). - House supplies stocked in the house (dishsoap, sponge, pots, pans, seasonings, etc etc). - Firewood in the garage was convenient. ----Not so good----- - The house smelled terrible when we walked in. Turns out someone left several huge bags of garbage to rot in the garage. We figured it out on day 2, and the house had a tinge the whole time we were there. - There is no modern Tv in the house, so don't bring anything that needs HDMI.
