The staff on desk that checked us in was lovely , all staff polite as well , gorgeous location , only thing lacking was in spa if staff where busy no one to ask about the type of treatments and what they involved , no drinks service also in pool area which would have been nice

The location, overlooking Lake Windermere is outstanding. The staff were helpful and efficient. The only negative was that there were large groups staying and they were given priority for dining options. We were unable to eat in the Lake view restaurant, which is a feature of the hotel, for any of our meals.

We had a lovely stay at the Lakeside Hotel and Spa, on the whole the hotel was clean and well presented although the windows and window frames needed a good clean inside and out. We found the food to be very good and the staff were all pleasant. The pool area was fabulous.

Not enough breakfast options. Small portions. Inconsistencies with the staff. Some staff offered some tables things (i.e water for the table, toast with breakfast ect) but not others.( staff being forgetful) For the price of the meal and the added staff gratuity ... the food is not worth it.

Have zero clue about “safe sleep” or SIDS thought a pull out camp bed was suitable for under one years (the booking form asks your child’s age on booking) then looked confused when I asked them to remove it so I could bring in our travel cot from the car. Zero organisation at breakfast or even common sense, took best part of 30mins to just order on our first morning we just collared a waiter on our second morning. The food at breakfast is nice, would be nice if we weren’t all sharing the same sauce bowl… bathroom had lots or cracked tiles and bathroom cleaner was left in the room. Plenty of staff just a severe lack of organisation and coordination to ensure smooth running. Could also do with a bit of updating/refreshing in some areas (loads of cracked tiles in bathroom)

The location is stunning and so relaxing, great pool the food was lovely but had to move rooms as was put right above the kitchen and the noise was too much. They did change us immediately though so no complaints...would definitely go back as perfect location

The hotel has a great location at the end of the lake beside the aquarium and the steam train. The room had a good view and the gardens are a nice place to sit if the weather is fine. The room was okay, but no real opening windows, no, balcony doors, it felt a little claustrophobic. The food was a letdown – high price for terrible wine, food just about average and took forever to be served with really disorganised service. Restaurant staff seem like they were on their first job out of school and had really no idea about serving quality food. Prices reasonable for the grade of hotel, but the service let it down

It was our first stay in the Lake District and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. We were very pleased with its location on the lake and its very near proximity to the lake cruises. The facilities are excellent which includes everything from the reception, through to the bars and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.

Sixteen of us went for a family birthday, staff were wonderful, food was great and what a fantastic setting. Plenty of wet weather stuff to do in the hotel itself. Will definitely go again.

Its ok. Views are incredible but eveything else is average or less which was disappointing. You are paying for a travel lodge experience with incredible views. Unfortunately not travel lodge prices. Sadly, wouldn't recommend. Its not that it was awful, but when a hotel charges higher than average prices, you expect higher than average service and experience, which was not the case.
