Dirty towel
Hotel was booked for convience and had used before. Booking in was straight forward. Room was closer to reception this time which was great. The only issue was that one large towel looked dirty like it had make up on with mascara. We did try to ring reception but the phone in the room didn’t work and when rang the hotel from my mobile it cut of twice after a long while no body answering . That was disappointing when was told any problems to call them. Yes I could off gone to reception , but I had had my shower and didn’t want to get dressed again to go out the room. Also there was no one at reception when we left early morning

The room we booked was unavailable and the reception staff offered nothing as an apology, only blaming it on Expedia. The room was in poor repair (sockets not working / bedside lamp with no bulb and taped over). There was a beeping from the corridor all night which resulted in a poor nights sleep.

Christmas parties more important than guests sleep
My overnight stay with my family was ruined as they had a Christmas party in a function suite right under our bedroom and played loud music until midnight. My son has special needs and got more distressed the later it got and he couldn’t get to sleep. When I explained this to the manager she said there was nothing she could do and couldn’t ask them to turn it down or stop early

Great breakfast does not save IHG
Eds are still too hard. Shelves have not been dusted. Therefore marks on clothing laid there. Discouraging factor for IHG members in that ifbooked from anywhere else IHG points cannot be claimed. This will discourage people from choosing IHG hotels. Great breakfast.

This place was great for getting into Lancaster. It was clean, comfortable and had a lovely breakfast. The only thing was, the double bed could have been a bit bigger.

Perfect
Highly functional room with everything perfectly placed and all the amenities you would ever want to make for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The breakfast was lovely - highly varied with an amazing selection of gorgeous cheeses and meats, cereals, fruit, waffles, pastries etc plus the usual hot food selection. Tiny downside - I would have liked more veggie offerings.
