It is a cozy home for small families. There is nearby shopping and dining in quaint historic towns. Stroll around the marina or to a local beach. Bring your powerboat, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards.
Marina: Free Fishing/crabbing from the marina pier. Crab pots provided. Boat ramp included. Covered slips available for nominal charge.
Oysters: There is an oyster farm on the Marina that provides complimentary tours. Order your oysters at www.rogueoysters.com.
Fishing: Striped Bass (Rockfish), Spot, Croaker, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Perch, Catfish, Drum, and more. The Marina hosts a Rockfish Tournament every year on the day after Thanksgiving.
Birdwatching: Eagles, Heron, Pelicans, Wild Turkeys, and more. There is a nest of Osprey with chicks at the Marina that can be viewed closely (June-August). Other notable wildlife include Dolphins, Stingrays, and Deer.
Local attractions: Two golf courses, three wineries, and an entertainment park that features movie theaters, go-cart racing, rock climbing, and a ropes course.
Boat Cruises: Take a sunset dinner cruise on a traditional Chesapeake Deadrise - or a day of fishing. Ask for a private charter.
Pet Friendly: We love pets, but the wildlife does not. We allow one small dog (under 20 pounds). The yard is not fenced, so the dog would need to be on leash at all times.
