Lovely stay, apartment needed some TLC
Our third stay at Thurnham Hall and the spa, pool and restaurant were very good as always and the staff all friendly and professional. The apartment itself was a little worn. Sofas were frayed on the arms and the sofa-bed had a poor and uncomfortable mattress. Whilst our apartment did not guarantee an outside area, it was disappointing that we had one which was out of bounds awaiting repairs. The other facilities were good.

First visit, surrounded by beautiful countryside, charming old building. Our apartment was lovely it had everything we needed. Quiet location to relax. Tried some food in the restaurant, this was good. Service excellent.

We stayed in a suite with 2 bedrooms a living room and a kitchen, it was ideal for us and the two children. Beautiful surroundings, the pool was brilliant, the changing rooms are open as in no separate cubicles, but we were allowed to change in the disabled rooms which was appreciated. The staff are friendly and polite, plenty to do in the area, we had a great time would definetely go back and highly recommend.

We stayed here with family of 5 to attend Graduation Ceremony In Lancaster University. The property was excellent, clean and spacious -it deserves 5stars. The area is calm and quiet. We were driving the city and around Lancaster. We have not seen transportation to the resort. So having a car is a must The only negative thing is that the restaurant was closed all the time during our visit but we were prepared and managed to cook and enjoy our stay.

Check in of 4pm and check out of 10am. On a one night stay this gave us 3 hours in total to use the leisure facilities in which the spa wasnt even working. The menu at restaurant was limited due to owners being on holiday (busy summer period). Outside grounds full.of weeds and needs to be maintained better. Will not go back and couldnt recommend.

Was looking for a quiet break this was perfect.Beautiful grounds and hotel interior, I stayed in one of the lodges with kitchen and it has everything you need. Staff friendly & helpful. Pool & spa good standard (lovely sauna). Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The only minor negative is the checkout time of 10am - as I only stayed 1 night I'd have liked his to be slightly later to not have to get up early and rush off. But overall a brilliant stay
