Cozy Cabin
We greatly enjoyed our weekend at The Owl's Nest. The cabin is quaint as advertised, and it is top notch throughout. Great living space, kitchen, shower, hot tub. Comfortable beds. Well equipped. It even has a popcorn machine (which in the end we didn't use but I wanted to). The cabin is a wonderful space to hang out and we ended up spending a lot of our weekend doing just that. We also walked a bit around the property and did the Lye Brook Falls Trail (moderate uphill hike to a tall waterfall; 2:45 round trip for us). The owners were responsive to the few questions we had. Highly recommended.

Finally found the spot I've been looking for.
I've stayed at a few places that promised a peaceful area and quaint cabin, this one really delivered. The area is bucolic: dirt roads, beautifully maintained farmhouses, horses, cows. All the people I encountered could not have been nicer. I want to move here. Plenty of hiking spots, good places to eat, antiques, farms. As for the cabin itself: Location is perfect. Once you pull off the road, the only other property is the owners home. It added to the feeling of safety and welcomeness, yet was far enough away that we never saw them. The cabin itself is great. I'm always cold, and there wasn't a draft in the place! The pictures didn't do it justice. Everything seemed very well thought out, good eye for aesthetic. The shower was great, which is one of those luxuries I'm always looking for. Just looking at the stars and listening to the coyotes, I could do that all night. We went for a wedding anniversary, but this place would also be a blast for families, friends, heck I'd maybe even come here with just my dog! Hosts were super responsive to questions, even in the evening, and recommended some good spots to us. Very easy to recommend without any caveats.

Perfect secluded cabin
Owl’s Nest was a perfect cabin in the Vermont woods for my husband and I to get away from the city and work. I have spent lots of time in the bigger New England cities and towns, but getting into the woods, without service or street lights was the perfect escape. Huge plus for being dog friendly! We spent lots of time reading, listening to records, enjoying the hot tub, and making a fire in the fireplace. When going out to explore, make sure your car is good on dirt roads - there are lots of them. Highly recommend checking out the shops in Weston or going up to the Clarendon Gorge to find the Suspension Bridge for a hike.

Soul-reviving. My husband, our 5 year old and our dog had a most amazing time here. We all enjoyed daily walks down to the river, especially our dog who enjoyed taking a hike in the woods. I savored some alone-time in the cottage, enjoying the sun soaked livingroom with dutch door open, and reading in the warm late afternoon sun. Nearby Hapgood's General Store and eatery was a welcome treat; for breakfast, a wine and pizza dinner, lovely shop and beautiful lawn for the kids to play. The proximity to Manchester and Weston were a fabulous plus for us. Will and his family were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. We wish we were already back!

Cozy owls nest
We had a wonderful stay at the owls nest! Pictures don't do it justice how cute and comfortable this cabin is! It sits back down a dirt road in the peace and quiet surrounded by mountains and trees. Awesome outdoor fire pit and hot tub. The cabin when you walk in is so welcoming and cozy. Shower was super cool and beds were above and beyond comfortable! We stayed with my husband and I, our 7 year old, 18 month old and pup. We felt very comfortable hanging out at night playing games with way more than enough space for us. The host was awesome in reaching out and telling me about the towns fourth of July celebrations that we got to enjoy! We really hope to come back in the winter to check out skiing in the area and will absolutely stay at the owls nest again!

We greatly enjoyed the Owls Nest. Location was ideal for visiting family and access to skiing. No issues with the 2 feet of beautiful snow that fell during our visit. We will plan to stay again in the future.

Pictures do not do this listing justice! This may be our favorite VRBO rental – ever! The cottage is clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. The location is so peaceful and quiet and yet less than 15 minutes from Bromley ski area. Owners were great to work with, and we will definitely be back again next year. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us!

Unable to visit
Unfortunately, my husband got the flu the day before we were supposed to leave so we were not able to stay in the cabin. We are already looking ahead to next year and looking forward to visiting Vermont in the fall. It was difficult to rate our stay since we were unable to go so my responses above are based on the pictures we saw when choosing this location.

Fantastic Spot
We had such a great stay at the Owl's Nest- the cabin is amazing; so bright, cheery, comfy, and cozy. The cabin has so many great touches; from the cool artwork, and the record collection, to the loft and the outdoor shower! We also love this area and had a great time hiking, swimming, and exploring.

Charming cozy cabin perfect for a ski trip
We absolutely loved our stay at the Owl's Nest! The location was great. It was under a 35 minute drive to Stratton, passing Bromley on the way. The owners do note but maybe don't emphasize enough the need for all wheel drive/4WD in the winter. The long hilly driveway did get plowed but not sand or salt. The cabin was warm & cozy with comfy beds and an amazing shower. We made fires, streamed movies (on tv in living room, no wifi issues) listened to records (& sonos), made popcorn, cooked dinners in the roomy kitchen and hiked the trail behind the house. Don't miss stopping at the charming JJ Hapgood General Store for coffee/pastries, sandwiches or gourmet food staples. Thank you Will & Sarah!

Adorable, cozy and unique vacation home in ideal location
Rarely are VRBOs as amazing as they seem in the description, but this one truly was! This cabin- nicknamed the Owl's Nest- was absolutely adorable, and truly cozy. Each room was thoughtfully decorated with so much unique, New England character. The beds were super comfy, our kids loved the little loft area over the fireplace, and everything was very clean. Only small downside was the spotty wi-fi (to be expected in a remote area) but there was so much in the house to keep us entertained between the old school record player with an IMPRESSIVE record collection, a stack of board games and puzzles, and a popcorn maker, even my phone-loving teenager had fun. The hosts also went out of their way to make us comfortable. We happened to stay during an unusually cold snap, and they made sure we had plenty of firewood for the fireplace, and checked in during our stay to make sure we were warm enough (we were!) The location is also ideal for skiers as it's <45 mins from Bromley, Stratton, Okemo and Mt. Snow.

Beautiful Quiet Spot
The cabin is just as advertised, cozy, quaint, comfortable. We had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. The owners were very accommodating. As others have mentioned, the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking some great meals. Loved the location off a dirt road and up a hill, nicely secluded. We are familiar with the area and the house was centrally located to all our favorite haunts. Take a drive on Danby Mountain Tabor Rd. through the National Forest, you won't be disappointed.
