The Chalet - Your home away from home

Our private, pet friendly location (3 acres) is the perfect base for exploring Central VI.
Feeling adventurous? You could ski, surf, golf, bike and hike all in one day!
If not so ambitious, enjoy a day of sight seeing, exploring local beaches, snuggle up by the fireplace. Or, better yet, grab a blanket and stargaze on the private patio with propane fireplace and roast marshmallows.

Whatever you decide to do, 'The Chalet' is the perfect place to unwind and truly let Island Life invite you in.
The space
Our unit sleeps 6, (2 queen size and 1 double) with 2 full bedrooms plus roomy loft. There is a small ensuite and full bath (shower). The large open concept living area includes fully equipped kitchen (spices, oils and condiments) with easy to use air fryer, gas stove/oven and is ready for entertaining families and friends. There is also a propane BBQ for all your outdoor cooking needs. Relax and enjoy our complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. After settling in, take a moment to browse the brochures and pamphlets of all that our area has to offer. Or play a game of cribbage while the kids color or do a puzzle. Enjoy a beverage on your private patio with Adirondack chairs and propane fire pit to roast marshmallows in the evening.
Guest access
The Chalet (1600sq ft) is a carriage house on the 3 acre property (owners in main house). As you come down the driveway go past the main house and you will see The Chalet - You cant miss it! Coded keyless entry gives you easy check in and out access without having to worry about keys.
- Plenty of room for parking in front of your unit.
- A small playground area for the kids is also available at your own risk.
- Walking trails to Arbutus Provincial Park are just in the back and front of our property. Literally, just steps!
Other things to note
We have 2 beautiful large rescue dogs from the Middle East. They are very friendly, but like to let you know they are protecting us on the property. They'll be very vocal when you drive in and out, but don't worry, its all talk! Their names are Luna (Black) and Scout (Golden). They have always gotten along with other pets no problem, but animals are animals, so please be cautious when they initially meet. Please do not feed them.
