The motel is located in old downtown Las Vegas, so don't expect lush surroundings like the Strip. Since it's on a main street, there can be some car noises late at night. It's only a few minutes drive from supermarket and inexpensive family/fast food restaurants, so very convenient for taking care of basic needs. The staff was friendly and helpful during my check-in. I only stayed three nights, didn't ask for housekeeping service, so can't comment on that. The room itself appeared to have been renovated some time in the past. Things looked a bit dated now but were still in good condition. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. If i were staying longer, I'd have used the small kitchen to save on meals, but not this time. If you're a glamorous tourist, this place is not for you. But if you're a practical traveler looking for value and can handle yourself in an older neighborhood, I'd recommend you take a look at this motel. I myself will definitely consider staying here again.

The owner cares about your stay. He renovated his motel and it looks so nice. He did an amazing job and we would stay again.

Good, affordable rooms
Room was very affordable and about 3/4 mile away from Fremont area. Parking lot is tight. Hotel doesn’t have actual lobby so all business was conducted through a little window outside. There is an ice machine but it’s in a locked door with a code and pretty far from our room. Others customers seemed sketchy smoking weed outside on the front steps of their room and having loud conversations in the early hours of the morning. I was worried about my car even though I could see it out of the window. Room itself was actually very good but bathroom lacked hooks or towel racks making it a little tricky to use. We had a kitchenette but didn’t need to use it so I can’t comment. There were no pots and pans or dishes but again we didn’t need it. Best price for a room off strip we found. It worked for us but just wanted to point out a few concerns.

I will be glad to stay at the Desert Moon motel again. I read the reviews and knew that the area was safe and walkable to the nearby 7/11 and the 20 minutes to the Fremont Street Experience area. The young man who checked me in was so pleasant and efficient. The motel grounds were neat and quiet, and my room was clean and so much more updated than I thought it would be- new t.v and stainless steel in-room sink and appliances, as well as a rain shower head in the bathroom! I would recommend bringing a little portable light for the bathroom, for some additional lighting to do makeup. I really enjoyed my stay!

I never write reviews but I really loved my experience staying at Desert Moon Motel, the staff is super friendly and you do not have to struggle looking for parking you have your own designated space right in front of your room. My rating is 10 out of 10 I would give it 💯.

clean comfy and modern rooms!
when I first walked into the room there was a modern plush colorful corsage of bath linens on the bed which I thought was a great touch. the room was very spacious and clean and modern. there was a brand new mini fridge/microwave and a very large smart tv, it has a stand up shower and the bathroom was spotless, It is a very comfy room, bright and clean. check in was a breeze, very polite people. and I look fwd to returning one day

Don't judge a book by it's cover
Curbside appearance is not the greatest but once in our room it was found to be pretty decent and comfy for our needs. Within the motel area itself, it was very quiet, no craziness or drama you'd think to encounter. The managers were very nice and helpful with our needs. It's not my first choice of where to stay but I wouldn't mind staying here again.
