Arriving a bit late for dinner, we were pleased to find that the hosts had prepared a nice soup for free. This was most welcome. Also, the place is in good condition for its age. There are little details that are not standard, run-of-the-mill.

First time here, they accommodated us and got us a room on the first floor. The nite soup meal provided free for guests. Helped curb our appetites, since we ate earlier. Staff was great and friendly; room clean and beds comfy; hot water plenty.

Referee at 75mph
This stay was a family trip and we needed the room to rest and unwind. Traveling with kids and being a referee going 75mph, we needed it. The room I got was big enough for us and gave us the much needed space.

Sam was working the front desk when we arrived, and he was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. I liked that there were massage chairs available in the lobby for free, as well as complimentary chicken gumbo for dinner! The property was older but seemed to be well maintained, and all the facilities we used were very clean. I could hear people walking on the floor above me, so I would suggest trying to get a room on the second floor.

It was very clean. They offered free soup from 6 - 9. The breakfast was small but good. The girl at the front desk was very sweet. They don’t have an elevator but you can request a first floor room.

An Unexpected Treat!
We ended up staying because of bad weather, but it was such an unexpected delight! From the free supper to the towels and bed runner folded in fancy designs, our stay was great! The staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable (they’ve added some sort of topper for added cushion), and it was very clean. We were pleased by the number of electrical outlets available near the bed for charging cell phones. The only drawback for us was that the breakfast was very basic, but the perks definitely outweighed that.
