Convenient access to Doughton Recreation Area
I stayed here while day hiking for three days at Doughton Recreation Area. The location was just 20 minutes from all trail heads and 20 minutes from Sparta for if you want to go out for dinner. Very comfortable queen bed. I will definitely stay again when I revisit Doughton.

Quiet Getaway
Cute cabin in a rural area. Pretty overlook of a pond. Backs up to woods. Best thing is dogs are allowed. Such a nice place for a dog to be. We brought a kennel for her to stay in while we wen to town. Pros: close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Stations Inn/Freebornes. 30 min from W Jefferson and Wilkesboro. Front porch with swing. Pretty log style cabin. WiFi and TV available. Microwave, fridge, 2 burner cooktop, and coffeemaker. AC worked great! It was nice they were already turned on and cooling the cabin! Thanks! Bathroom was nice and clean. The shower is a great quality and will accommodate tall people like my husband! Bed was comfy. Futon couch in the living room was clean and comfy and had a neat shelf on end for phone or beverage. Cons: picnic table was unusable because wood is warped and rotted. Dining table is sticky wood but a tablecloth could help. Some kitchen drawers were off track and fall out when opened. Kitchen sink had burnt stains from hot pots. Bore bees are loving the front porch. None of this was a big deal. But dirty bed sheets and cover was not pleasant to find. If I had stayed I would have called the next morning for clean ones, but unfortunately I had to leave early due to an illness. Staff were friendly and very responsive at every step of the process.

Ravine in Laurel Springs
Not only was the staff at 4 Seasons very helpful, but they were super friendly. They made my stay at the cabin much more enjoyable. The cabin was as described and better. Super clean, quiet and peaceful. My stay there was for a race weekend, but plan on returning here for a nice little get away with my wife and just enjoy Gods beauty that surrounds this little hide away in the mountains.

Relaxing stay
We spent three days after Christmas with our two dogs. The rental was clean and was as advertised. On our last day a friendly neighborhood German shepherd (Wren) came to say hello. We called her owner and they came and got her. Apparently she likes to come visit. 🤣

Great peaceful getaway!
Great place to getaway. Perfect for our family. Property was as described. There are two other cabins onsite, but when we stayed those were vacant. Nice pond with a dock. Big open grass area. Plenty of wildlife. We would stay here again.

close to stone mountain.
We enjoyed the space between cabins. It was easy to enter, set temperature in cabin and get settled. We enjoyed walking dogs to the pond. The cabin was clean and we appreciated the extra cooking tools provided. We understood pans being older, things do walk off. We were happy not to have to get out our packed up utensils we had for tent camping. It was everything we needed and nothing we didn't. We would definitely stay again to visit Stone mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We also appreciated the paper towels, TP and dish soap. These things seem simple, but avoiding a trip to the store or unpacking camping stock was appreciated. Did anyone claim the uncollared dog roaming the property? Cute dog!

Cute cabin in beautiful mountain area.
There were two other cabins closer to us than we were expecting. However, we would like to plan a extended family vacation for this site in the future since the 3 cabins are close enough for group gathering and every family still having their own cabin to stay in. Cooking utilities were very limited.

Great Weekend
The cabin was really clean. Mattress was wonderful. Location was convenient to West Jefferson. Wasn't fond of the futon and the chairs didn't sit good. We took our small jack russell with us and the neighbors dog kept coming over and I was afraid the dog would attack my dog so I was worried about letting my dog out. My dog has been attacked by a big dog before and I didn't want to go thru that experience again. Other than these few things was a good weekend.

Close to nature
A cute little cabin that was perfectly suited for a short weekend getaway and hiking. Very convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway, Stone Mountain Park and in a nice location. The cabin was clean and well stocked with basics, clean sheets and towels. There are 2 reasons I am not able to give 5 star rating. One: unfortunately the cabin does have an issue with critter infestation, which is not surprising given location in the middle of a large meadow. As soon as the lights went out, one can hear pitter-patter of tiny little feet. I think they were mostly in the walls, as we could never see any critters, but still made for interrupted sleep and some anxiety. Two: friendly dog, neighbors' I presume, however, friendly only to humans It attacked our dog when we tried to play outside, so it was difficult to enjoy the outdoor space or even get into our car with our dog. Maybe if we stay here next time, we will bring a cat instead.

Mice
It is sucks to sleep with mice running all night on the ceiling, it was noisy, my son refused to sleep in the loft ,so he move to us so in turn I went to sleep in the living room sofa, that was on dec 24, on Dec 27 I requested help and I was told that they would send a pest control which never happened, on Dec the 30th I received a text that I they are not going to send anyone so there were nothing that they can do, so I went to Walmart to buy rat poison, one mouse took my poison just 5 second after I placed it, by Wednesday the first ,we had enough so we left a night before, January the second, another nuisance were the chin bugs, I killed a lot of them and they stinks, they are not coming through the front door , some how they find it’s way to get inside the house, the couple that stayed a couple of nights in the cabin across us had the same problem with the chin bugs,, on the website they mentioned it is one cabin out of three but they didn’t mention that the cabins are together in the same place, the picture shows only one cabin, they should show all three cabins , so if one idea is an stand alone cabin ,this is not it, you are going to have strangers around you which is what happened to us, and with respect to the Young family and theirs deceased ,the house behind the three cabins is not the best view for a rental cabin in the mountains , back to the mice, I convinced my wife that the mice were outside on top of the roof, me and my son kept it from her or the vacation would be over, it was a long drive from Florida
