The hotel was beautiful and the location was beautiful. Loved the quaint little area around the hotel. But the room was not clean. I stepped on two “ Flinstone Vitamins” left on the carpet. So it was not vacuum very well. There was a men’s used razor laying behind the soap dish. So it leads me to believe the counters were not wiped down. And after I showered, I pulled the hair dryer off the shelf and a men’s tee shirt and underwear fell out with it as well. It was utterly disgusting. We are not ones to usually complain, but this was one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a Double Tree. We have always been offered cookies upon arrival and coffee in the morning. But none of that at this hotel. And it seemed unusual that there was no microwave or refrigerator either. We had a wonderful time at the Casino and the Creation Museum, and Jungle Jim’s was an amazing place. I plan to return with family and friends , but I’m not sure I would bring them to this hotel. For what we paid for the two nights I expected more.

Very hard to find the front door upon first getting to the property as it isn’t marked well & it’s connected to a convention hall. Wasn’t familiar with the town or property either so that had a lot to do with it. Then you have to go up about a dozen stairs to the front lobby. But they have an elevator to bring up your suitcases. Sunday breakfast was the next thing that really lacked. Scrambled Eggs were hard & rubbery. And shredded potatos were super greasy. Other than that, Overall great value for the money & I’d stay here again but eat elsewhere.

Nightmare Stay!
There was a dead bed bug found in the extra set of towels that l was given. No bathtub in this hotel only showers, empty bottles in shower, told a microwave & refrigerator available in room, not, had to call front desk & ask where everything was, amenities that were listed & guaranteed. They sent up a small refrigerator & small microwave on top of an old pallet cart & just put it at the foot of the bed, plugged it in the wall, just sitting out in the middle of the room, no designated area. The whole 5th floor was awakened around two am with screaming, cussing, yelling, fighting, actual physical abuse & violence. It was horrific & very scary. We kept calling downstairs, no one would answer the phones. Finally l called on an outside line, the reservation #, a young girl answered & l told her she needed to come up immediately, take care of the situation or l was calling the police, (l should have just done that). Also there were multiple lines ringing in the background. This went on until well after 4am. The young girl just went to the room with the violent man & told him it was a warning, he was all cry baby, so sorry. He also had been seen earlier slapping the woman across the face. That was it! Nothing! Crazy! Then asked to talk to a manager & simply told management had their own number, no one was back there but could leave a message & someone would call me back on Monday. No call! Nothing! Horrible! I booked the weekend for rest, relaxation. Very upsetting & unpleasant!

Beautiful Hotel but cleanliness severely lacking!
Not great. Room dirty. Bed sheet on inside out. Very dusty. Dirty Smudges on doors and tables. Dried poop on side of toilet. The manager and staff were very apologetic and moved us to another room. They did compensate us on the bill which was very kind but I sure hope they can resolve the cleaning issues. It’s a beautiful hotel.
