We were looking for a property with five beds (so that my four children could each sleep in their own bed), a washing machine, and easy parking for our rental van during our stay in Normandy. This property checked those boxes very well. The owner was friendly and attentive when we rang his doorbell for service. The breakfasts were as advertised and worked nicely for our family, including baguettes, meats, cheeses, and jam. When I saw the place, I thought I would be taking cold showers, but we got the water to warm up nicely,
On the downside, we visited in early March during cold weather, and it took a couple of days for the master bedroom of the cottage to warm up. I'm guessing the cottage hadn't been in use before us. It would have been nice if the heat had been turned on a couple days before we got there. I forgot to duck one time and knocked my head on a low stone doorway. The washing machine was hard for me to figure out how to do quick cycles, but I finally figured it out. Of course, there was no drier, as advertised. Due to our high volume of our laundry, the temperature in the cottage, and the limited space on the heated drying rack in the bathroom, it was difficult to dry our laundry.
I'm glad I chose this quite place outside of the cities so that I didn't have to worry about traffic and parking. I would stay there again if I get to visit Normandy again. Our three days in Normandy were the best part of our 10 day trip to France.
