We stayed in Leadville to go jeepin. This hotel has a huge parking lot. Plenty of room for trailers. The hotel is dated and needs some TLC, but unlike some other reviews, It didnt smell bad when we walked in. The rooms were very clean, passed the test (as I like to check all beds for cleanliness and bugs). Hot showers. Breakfast was the usual continental stuff. Small dining area but we just took stuff back up to our room. Staff were very nice. Not a bad place to stay.

Good price and clean sheets was what we were looking for and what we got. Staff was available and helpful. Property was a bit rough, but it appeared that updates were on the way.

There were dirty sheets and towels laying in the floor in the halls to the rooms. Rooms were clean but bare amenities.

Crap Internet
At night the internet was on and off. Completely failed for the whole building in the morning. The person at the desk didn't have time to call tech support--said it happens often and the owner refuses to upgrade the system.

Older property that has not been well maintained. Room was clean but definitely in need of updating. Wall light fixture was falling off wall. Connected restaurant has boards nailed across front door. Main sign in front of hotel is almost illegible. Not a lot of lodging choices in Leadville but I'd avoid this one.

Replace the parking surface. It is very rough. At least all the deep potholes from last year were filled in. Having air conditioning in the rooms is a great improvement. More variety in the breakfast room will be much appreciated.
