We arived about 20 minutes to 4pm the check in time was 4pm and the office door did not open untill 4pm never seen this. The room was very clean didn't care much for the hardwood floors but I guess was part of the nostalgia. The landscaping was very nice. We would have liked it if we were told that we needed to plug in an electric heater. I had to call the office and ask how to work the thermostat only to find out it didn't work. It was nice that they provided earplugs for the noise from the highway although we did not use them due to it was not that bad. We will stay here again if we travel back this way again.

I had never stayed at a hotel with broken door lock, nor had to wait 15min at empty front desk to check-in.

Disliked: Amenities
I was visiting Lee Vining to attend a music venue that evening. I tried to check in around 3pm so I could go to the venue and park for the evening. I thought the wood on the ramp was going to give way. The office door was locked, the parking lot empty. The place looked abandoned. I couldn’t take a chance that the office would again be closed after the venue, so I left town, missing the venue and hotel stay altogether. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

This was a family run business. We had a late arrival. No issue for them. They got us squared away. The room was clean and well kept. No TV but that was fine for us. We had to ask for a heater as they were transitioning seasons but they had us squared away in no time. A bit pricey but served our needs well for an over night spot going into Yosemite for a Tuolumne Meadows hike.

We’ll be back.
Perfectly charming place to stay. Great view of Mono lake. This is not a luxury hotel which I like. It is a place that has been here for years yet made very comfortable with modern conveniences. Great place to relax and continue the journey. Very close to June lake as well Staff is very friendly

Very nice cosy place
We love this place: it’s very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful view, but no internet in the room. You can use an internet outside the room on patio, but it was not very convenient for us.

This property is a string of cottages on the west side of Highway 395, well north of the town of Lee Vining. They have a great view of Mono Lake across the road. Especially at dawn! The buildings are old but have been very nicely rehabbed. My cottage featured a wonderful claw-foot cast-iron soaking tub. A bath bomb was strategically placed on a nearby table. Perfect! What a joy. Really nice cotton towels. The mattress was very comfortable. Lights and outlets strategically placed - very handy. Refrigerator and microwave worked well. Parking was close and felt very safe - away from the traffic on the highway. The grounds are nicely maintained and there is even a little creek with a sweet bridge. I was there one night and regretted that it could not have been longer. There is plenty of highway noise that could annoy a delicate sleeper. Management has placed packets of foam ear-plugs to help block out the noise.
