facilities are quite new and very functional. Location right opposite to St Nicholas church, very close to all old town attractions. Lacks kettle or tea/coffee making capability. Staff helpful Breakfast buffet expensive and limited choice.

Great location close to everything
Great location, very close to all the old town attractions and only a short, flat walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Christmas markets right outside the door and various others only a few minutes walk away. Lots of shops, cafe and restaurants in the area. As usual, being a Motel One it was clean and modern and good value for money.

Good value for money - as expexted
Motel One's have a decent standard everywhere and so has this hotel. Modern and clean rooms which are a bit small (but you know that when going to a Motel One). Very friendly staff and the bar which is open 24 hours is definitely a plus. Check out the Gin menu and surprise yourself. Location is very good to explore the city and also not too far from the train station. A bit tricky to reach by car but they do have parking spaces. Just make sure to put the right street in the GPS since entrance to the parking is around the corner in another street. I would book again.

A great-value modern center-city hotel
The Motel One Nikolaikirche is a great option in the heart of the Leipzig Old Town center. It's a stylish, modern property without overdoing the "style" factor. Rooms decently sized, especially for a European city hotel, with king or queen beds, and many with balconies overlooking the 900-year-old St. Nicholas church across the street (beware, the bells ring loud!). The city core is exceptionally walkable, and the hotel is located close to the main train station and transport options. An on-site underground garage is available for 10€/24 hours, very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. Spaces there can be tight and are few in number, so beware. Lots of great dining and shopping options close by, and on weekends the street markets are lively. Best of all, at about 69€ plus a reasonable 10€ for a comprehensive continental-style breakfast spread, it's a great deal. Be sure you get the right Motel One – there's another one nearby on Augustusplatz which has all the same pluses, except no parking.

Ideal location
Location of the hotel is within walking distance to main train station. Ideal for christmas markets, shopping and restaurants. Rooms small but comfortable. Nice big shower. Breakfast is good but can get busy and some people were sitting in reception and bar area to eat as all seats full in the breakfast room. All the staff were very please and helpful.

Amazing room in central Leipzig
This was a new hotel brand to me and it was a great find. Lovely room in Leipzig centre. Very clean and comfortable. Only complaint was it was a little bit small - suited to 2 people with hand luggage, not big cases.

One night stay
Stayed here one night. A short walk from the train station, check-in was quick and our room was ready early in the day. Hotel design is modern and has a sharp, clean look to it . Lobby is attractive. There is a nice breakfast buffet that is popular with the clientele--very busy on the weekday morning of our visit. The appeal of this hotel is its very reasonable rate as well as its accessible location. However the double room we had was tiny--one of the smallest Euro hotel rooms I've seen. There is no place to put luggage except on the floor inches from the bed. Small area to hang up anything. Narrow shelves next to bed not very useful. Seems that certain minimum standards should be met in a hotel room--this room was very small and lacked some basics. So yes, it was a nice hotel, clean, but so small. Glad we were staying just one night.

A great, reasonably-priced town centre hotel
This was the second time that i have stayed in a Motel One hotel in Germany and I have been impressed with this reasonably-priced hotel chain. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was in great condition, had nice furniture and was very comfortable. This particular hotel is very well-placed in the centre of Leipzig and this is a lovely old German town with lots of beautiful historic buildings. It is also very easy to walk to a wide range of restaurants in Leipzig town centre. The hotel itself has its own car park but it is very small and is often full. However, there are a lot of very reasonably priced public car parks within easy walking distance. All in all, a lovely stay in a beautiful and historic German town.
