BUYER BEWARE, this host may bail on you last minute!
A very busy weekend in the Yosemite/Sequioa NP area, we were excited to arrive at our VRBO which we'd booked Fr/Sa nights over Labor Day Weekend. Our reservation was fully paid for a month in advance, upon driving to this VRBO we still had not received check in instructions so we reached out to the host, to learn that they'd double booked their place and that we wouldn't be able to stay Saturday night. She offered for us to cancel and refunded our money. However, there was nowhere to stay at all in the entire region as we had known would be the case for months, which is why we secured our booking in advance. This is completely unacceptable for a VRBO host in the current era of early bookings. You simply cannot have this happen to guests. This put our vacation into a panic WE NEED A PLACE TO STAY. This absolutely should have been discovered earlier than the day of our reservation. There is no reason the host should not have been able to inform us of the error until the last minute. It makes me think they relisted the place somewhere else for an even higher price considering the low availability for the weekend and cancelled on us once someone booked a higher far last minute.

The property itself is not bad and everything what the owner advertise before booking was accurate. Reason why I give my overall experience a 3 star out of 5 is because of the code to enter. The code sent was invalidated and owner did not reach out to me, until 7 hours after arriving to receive a new code. Luckily the rear entrance was open so I was able to get through there. In this kinds of situations, I would have liked if the owner double checked to ensure everything is running smoothly, including the code to enter the place. Had that rear door been locked completely, we wouldn't been able to check in properly, causing a very bad experience for our travels.

Beautiful, Cozy Getaway Right Near Sequoia
I have nothing but great things to say in regards to Kaweah Kabin! The home was better than the pictures, very comfortable beds/bedding, a huge kitchen and filled with everything you need (Kristian even went out of his way to provide us with NYE party supplies which was such a lovely touch in addition to the amazing Christmas tree). It has a beautiful backyard with a lovely porch for morning coffee and was surrounded by orange and lemon groves. Despite Sequoia being closed on New Years Day, me and my partner found so many things to do around the area - great hikes along the river, cute shops and farm stands, and good food! We were able to get into the park on the 2nd but had limited time to explore, so we will definitely be returning in the spring to complete the park and see Kings Canyon as well! You can’t beat this booking!

Nice place but not super cozy
It's a well-maintained place with all of the expected amenities but it doesn't exactly feel "cozy". Instead of feeling like a classic cozy cabin that is welcoming to guests it instead feels more like staying in a corporatized environment meant solely for renting out with maximum efficiency and minimal comfort. There are signs everywhere with rule reminders and there are also no curtains in the main living/kitchen room, which removes your sense of privacy and relaxation especially with neighbor houses so close by. Sure there are no curtains shown in the images, but after being there it really detracted from the experience and made it uncomfortable since anyone could look into the house and see us in the main rooms whenever they wanted. Additionally, the host gave us a checklist of things to do before leaving which weren't agreed on beforehand. Most of the requests were reasonable and things we would do anyway, but some seemed out of place and not the responsibility of the guests especially when we're already paying a decent price for the stay and a cleaning fee. Overall, it wasn't the "cozy cabin getaway" we were expecting.
