We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent. Delicous breakfast and the extra emenities offered. Restaraunt choices were excellent. We will definitely return again.
Our family visits Lenox often and we have always had our eye on staying at this property from its stellar location to its beautiful outside area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. Nice touches like night smores packs to make by the fire, the snack table & coffee. We loved the interior design and felt right at home! Our room was perfect and comfortable for what we needed, my husband and I fit with our almost two year old son in his pack n play comfortably. Room was equipped with a sound machine which was a nice touch for at night for our little guy. Logan at the desk helped us each night and was extremely friendly, helpful and great at his job. We cannot wait to return!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
It was an old building carelessly and cheaply remodeled. The bathroom floor was redone but they were short on the flooring material and left a gap at the door threshold. Shower surround walls were cheap plastic and the shower curtain was short and shower pan was flat so a lot of water would seep out. The fireplace was not a working one.
We stayed at this property years ago when it was The Village Inn. The property seems rundown and cheaply managed. Room carpeting was very dirty. Mattress was poor; plastic cups in bathroom tacky. Single ply toilet paper cheap. No robes. Brackets holding soap dispensers in shower and sink area are rusted/dirty and not properly cleaned.
We stayed at the Whitlock and was disappointed.
The best part of the property is its outdoor garden and seating. The amenity information indicated a fire pit, there was one but no gas tank so it was useless
. Also a complimentary continental breakfast. During the week the restaurant is closed but provided at the Constance. We didn’t see one other than staff other checking in. the person at the said someone would be at that desk until 10:00 pm however when our shower backed up and came close to flooding the bathroom, no answer at the desk and no call returned after leaving a message with the answering service. The pedestal sink in the bathroom was loose as it was coming off the wall. The decor is subpar for an in that points out when the Inn was built, unfortunately there wasn’t much in the way of antique furniture. Old couches and mismatched pieces.
Our stay at the Whitlock was fabulous. We were able to park at the inn and then walk everywhere around the town. So convenient! The inn was very fun. Definitely an old inn, so we did not expect it to be like a modern hotel. It was classic western Massachusetts country style. We stayed in the fall foliage season, but the Whitlock would have been awesome in the summer season too. Thanks
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - especially Logan. Unfortunately, the rooms and corridors are in desperate need of new carpeting and general updates. The rooms were clean enough but the cobwebs on the beside lamps and dust on the bedside tables added to the dingy feeling. The small staff seemed overwhlemed - Shame on the owners for not investing more in their property and providing their excellent staff with the tools for success.
With rates of $200-$400 per night, there should be some basic amenities like a spotless, update room with the ability to control the temperature. It was either boiling or cold from cracking a window and using the window fan in the middle of October as the only way to cool down the room.
We had a lovely deluxe king second floor room at the Constance. Noah was friendly and at the desk til 10pm. The bed and pillows were comfortable, nice size TV with built in Roku to access your streaming services, and easy temp control in the room. The continental breakfast was convenient, as was the free coffee and snacks throughout the day. It is a beautiful old house, and it was a 4.5 star experience. Lenox is lovely, we especially enjoyed driving up to Williamstown, seeing the Clark Institute, and driving part of the Mohawk Trail. The Norman Rockwell museum was great but too crowded on a weekend. We enjoyed the Mount, and an interesting tour at Arrowhead. There is a lot to do in the area. We would gladly stay here again.
We were put on the third floor and only one other couple was in the building. The room was a bit small, and there was no chair to sit in. The bathroom however was newly remodeled
