Town house in Chevreuse valley

A spacious 160m2 house on 3 levels located in the center of the village with all amenities nearby; supermarket, butcher, bakeries and a great regional cycle path. The house is located between the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse and the Forêt de Rambouillet. The station in direction to Paris (45mm train), Versailles (27mm train) and Rambouillet (9mm train) is 5 mins walk. Disneyland Paris is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes by car.
The house consists of 5 bedrooms, one with its private bathroom, another bedroom with a shower and 2 shower cabins as well as 3 toilets. There is also a terrace and small garden which is accessed through the living room or through the separate kitchen which is fully equipped and furnished; dishwasher, oven, induction hob, American fridge, coffee machine (Nespresso), washing machine, ironing board, steam iron, linens provided except bed linen (optional 50 euros) garden table and chairs, television, stereo, internet, wifi.
Free parking. Evening not allowed. Compulsory fixed cleaning (€ 80)
There are a lot of things to see and visit around; castles, museums, forest walks, animal parks, gourmet restaurants, snail farming (!) and even a sandy beach at the edge of a lake for summer fun at the Étang d'Hollande! (13mm by car)

The house is located between the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse and the Rambouillet forest. It’s only a 7 mm walk to the train station, which serves; to Paris (45mm train), Versailles (27mm train) and Rambouillet (9mm train). Disneyland Paris is approx. 1-hour 20mm away.
The house consists of 5 bedrooms (master with its own bathroom), one bedroom with private shower plus 2 other separate shower cubicles and 3 individual toilets. There is also a terrace and small garden that is accessed through the living room or the separate kitchen which is fully equipped and fitted out; dishwasher, oven, induction hob, American fridge, coffee machine (Nespresso), washing machine, ironing board, steam iron, towels provided. Bed linen is optional and can be provided at an additional cost of € 50. There is a large garden table and chairs, television, stereo, internet, wifi.

This was our second time staying at this property. Last time was August of 2019. Nine cyclists who did Paris Brest Paris ride. We would recommend this area, property and owners without hesitation to everyone considering staying here. You will not be disappointed.

Great House
More than enough room for our family of 6. Ideal location for Versailles and Paris. Train station only a 5 minute walk away. We arrived late and left early but hosts were very accommodating. No problems parking outside the house. Great wifi and big TV with Netflix and Prime. Well stocked kitchen, big toy cupboard. We all enjoyed our stay!

Above and beyond
This house was perfect for our group of 10. The house was clean and comfortable and the hosts were fantastic. Before we arrived they answered several questions about the train systems. We arrived by train just as a thunderstorm was arriving and Donald met us at the train station with umbrellas. He was able to drive our luggage and my mother-in-law (who has a harder time walking) to the house. They showed us around the house and made sure we knew how to use everything. The home is close to the train station. And there is a grocery store and several restaurants close by. We really enjoyed our stay here and were very impressed by the kindness of the hosts.

WONDERFUL HOUSE
This house is beautiful, the pictures do not justify the property, the artwork in the house is breathtaking! We were welcomed by the owners who were so friendly and helpful. The property had everything you need to feel right at home... iron, fans, tea coffee, all kitchen amenities, toiletries, extra bedding, and basic cooking essentials ie pots and pans etc! smart tv, high chair...... you name it... they had everything! There is also parking around the back and in front of the property so parking our 3 cars was no problem... the garden area is so lovely and clean. The property is in a superb quiet location, with bakeries 1-2 mins walk supermarket 7-8 mins walk away with a fuel station. There is a community center 2-3 doors away with a pool, the train station was 10 min walk away so very easy to get into Paris in 45 mins. Me and my family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and will definitely be returning.

Just Wonderful
Donald and Aoua were warm, friendly and very accommodating. The house is spacious while feeling cozy and welcoming, with large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, and it’s full of gorgeous art. The town of Les-Essarts-le-Roi is charming and also friendly, with a lovely supermarket and marvelous butcher and bakeries. The train to Paris and the nearby towns is easy to navigate, and almost everyone we met was helpful and kind. We would love to go back and stay here again!

Wonderful memories of France
Our stay was wonderful! We were greeted by Donald and Aoua who were very flexible considering our late arrival. They greeted us with a nice bottle of French rosé and a fresh baguette. The photos do not do this house justice. We walked in and felt we were transported into an idyllic, French country style home. It was absolutely beautiful and very clean. Located in a small village with convenient bakery and butcher shops as well as a supermarket, all within short walking distance. I highly recommend the local bakery for the baguettes and croissants. We enjoyed these treats for breakfast every morning and on some nights we grilled in the beautiful peaceful backyard. Nearby train station is an easy 10 minute walk which can be done in six minutes if you run (and we did on some days!) This train station connects you to convenient locations including Versailles and Paris. The train system is very easy to use and convenient for the best tourist destinations. Excellent house if you are looking to experience the best of France. The hosts were kind attentive and wonderful to meet. They even helped with all our questions regarding local sites and recommendations. You cannot go wrong with this house, both because of the wonderful hosts and the ideal location with train access. We hope to return!

Delightful location to rest after Paris Brest
We stayed in Les Essarts Les roi after completing the Paris Brest Paris 1200 km bike ride The property is situated within easy walking distance of the train station, allowing us to get to visit Versailles and Paris. We enjoyed relaxing in the lovely private back garden, drinking coffee and nibbling on croissants from the bakery across the street. Grocery store only a couple of minutes walk away On the week before the ride we comfortably had a total of ten people staying here. Comfortable beds, beautiful art from both of our hosts We’ll plan to return here next year when we repeat our ride as a tour with friends

Super vacation house
We enjoyed our stay here so much. It was in a terrific location for all the day trips we had planned. With the train station only a few blocks away, we were able to get into Paris easily and catch the metro to all the sites we wanted to see. The house was clean and beautifully decorated and very comfortable for our large family. Everyone had a bed and there were plenty of bathrooms for our use, even though a few were a bit small, but we managed well. The kitchen was well equipped. The backyard was private and beautifully landscaped and we were able to have our evening meals out on the shaded patio.

The house was very comfortable and large enough for our party of seven.
We loved the position of the house within the village. It is a short walk to the train station. We took the train to Paris. The surrounding rural area is very pleasant. Unfortunately there were insufficient coffee/ tea mugs for more than two adults. Although the Home and Away web site states that additional fees may apply, we were not happy to be asked for an additional €130 three days prior to our arrival. We were told this was for towels and linen which according to the website information, were provided NOT on request or for a fee. Also, although the website states that there is a cleaning fee of €80, we assumed that was included in the service fee we had been charged when booking the property. We did not expect to have to pay this on arrival. The additional fee request made to us when we were already on holiday rather soured our stay. I suggest these are made clear on the Home and Away website.

Deceptively spacious house in a good location if you want to explore Paris without being in the city
We stopped at Les Essart de Roi for 3 days as we were working our way back through France after a week in the Alpes. The house was deceptively spacious with plenty of space for our family of 5 (my wide and I, our two children aged 16 and 18 and my mum). We found it a great location for breaking our journey and were able to visit Versailles and Ramboulliet, both of which were great. You could easily use this as a base to explore Paris is you didn't want to stop in the city as there is a train station within 10 minutes walk of the property. The village has all the usual facilities, bakes, butchers, market, supermarket. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful home, great owners, and amazing small town close to Paris.
We took a trip through France and Belgium. This was, by far, the best place we stayed. Donald and Oksana were attentive and the property was amazing. We stayed there with four kids and four adults for five nights.

The property is well looked after. The housekeeper was most helpful and the owners kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a most pleasureable stay and if we return to that area of France again we will not hesitate to check availabilty with the owners so that we can stay there again.

we had a lovely 4 nights staying here. Mr & Mrs Grant were very helpful and informative. Lots of room in the house with lovely garden to have bbq in the evening. Great location with boulangerie and supermarket close by. Paris just 45 mins by train. Lots of cycle routes nearby and we managed to find the lake where we could swim! (5 euros entrance fee). Hardly used the car. It was a great house and great location!

Awesome home and wonderful stay!
We all had a great stay at this house. The Grant's were great hosts and helped us identify places to visit locally. Their house was perfect for all 9 of us. The town too really was a great French experience and was an easy train catch for Paris. We highly recommend this house.

Superbe pour un séjour en famille
Nous avons passé un super Noël en famille dans la maison d’Aoua et Donald ! La maison dispose de nombreuses chambres et de nombreuses salles de bain qui permettent à chacun d’avoir son espace personnel. Le salon salle à manger est de taille idéal pour se retrouver. Dommage qu’on ne puisse pas utiliser la cheminée, ce qui aurait été un plus ! La maison est idéalement située dans le centre des Essarts le Roy mais reste malgré tout sans vis à vis ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !
