Very nice vacation home with large terrace and stunning views of the Cevennes in Salles du Gardon on the Gard, just 10 km north of Alès, a fairly lively town. 2 km from the center of this village on the banks of the Gardon, enjoy absolute tranquility and a breathtaking view from the covered terrace. This very pretty vacation home in unrendered stone, beautifully decorated in the authentic tradition of the region, is ideal for families with children. All living spaces are on one level, with a charming open kitchen and set on 8 acres of wooded land. Every window opens to the beautiful green landscapes. You can head out for great hikes right from the front door. The two owners also live on the property.
Just 13 km away, you can enjoy moments of fun with family or friends in the lush greenery of Lac de Campoux, where you can frolic in the cool water or use pedal boats, canoes and stand up paddle. The surrounding area also offers a wide range of outdoor activities: climbing, mountain biking, zip lines, via ferrata, canyoning, caving, visiting castles, mines and especially the fossil forest with its ancient trees. At less than 20 km, discover the pleasant villages of Anduze with its famous exotic park or St. Ambroix and other listed villages. You are only 1 hour away from the Chauvet Cave, a unique place in the world. Un petit coin de paradis
Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable, l’endroit est magnifique, le gîte est très bien équipé et confortable. Les charmants propriétaires sont discrets mais extrêmement sympathiques. Très belle semaine en famille

Super Lage, Einrichtung ok
Die Lage ist wirklich super, wenn man gerne in der Natur ist. Es ist sozusagen die höchste Wohnung in dem Mini-Ort Mas du (des) Muriers. Mit dem Auto geht es über eine sehr steile Rampe hoch, kann ein kleines Problem sein je nach Auto / Beladung / Fahrer. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist gut, aber nicht so super praktisch eingerichtet, reicht aber vollkommen aus. Die Einrichtung ist nicht unser Geschmack gewesen, das wird aber durch die beiden Terrassen / Balkon, eine nach Osten, eine nach Westen wettgemacht. Der Ausblick nach Osten ist toll, wir waren darüber positiv überrascht, da es erstaunlicherweise aus den Bildern des Anbieters nicht hervorging. Man kann dort ins Tal runterschauen und sieht auch noch sehr weit entfernte Berge (vermutlich Ausläufer der Alpen). Wir haben von dort aus schöne Touren mit dem Mountainbike gemacht. Bei gpsies unter Benutzer KlausWerner werde ich die gleich veröffentlichen, nachdem ich sie bereinigt habe. Die Berge bzw. Wege sind recht steil und steinig. Was weniger schön ist, sind die ganzen Städte in unmittelbarer Nähe am Gardon, dafür wird's sehr schön, wenn man davon weg ins Hinterland fährt, etwa Richtung Anduze oder nach St. Ambroix, von wo aus man schöne Kanutouren machen kann.
