In all of my years of travel, this ranks as the most unique stay. We stayed 2 weeks, the beauty of the area is stunning- 5-star view from the living room and just about every room in the house has stunning views with large picture windows. Surrounded by well-maintained beautiful landscaping. It's also very private, as you have your own separate gate to enter the property. The back entrance has a nook that came in very handy, as it can get really windy and it is a perfect place to hang out and block the wind. The living room is the highlight of the property with the most stunning views. There is a TV there and a fireplace with plenty of chairs to sit around in and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. it's worth noting that there is a VCR but it is not working. I would suggest bringing a device to stream Netflix, etc though you do have a handful of local channels. The kitchen does have a dishwasher and just about anything you can. think of that you might need to cook meals, including microwave, stove and burner top. It's packed with cookware, glasses, etc. The bathroom was adequate and has a jet tub (we never used it) and a stand-up shower. all 3 bedrooms had acceptable beds in them, though we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms, the beds were pretty comfortable. We found the food options to be outstanding in the area and I highly recommend, (the best fish and chips we've had in all of Europe too, ordering any seafood you desire from) O' Flaherty's Connemara Seafood Chowder. His restaurant was pick up only when we were there but it is only about 15 minutes from the house. He also offers pick up or delivery of fresh lobster, scallops, prawns, a variety of fish, and much more caught locally for an insanely fair price, large lobster tails were only 12 Euros for example. About 7 minutes from the house is the Glynsk House. This quickly turned into our favorite place to dine in during our stay. We did find that the place was not as clean as we expected it but that's really my only complaint. The place is set up to pay for your own electricity and we spend about $120 Euros for the 2 weeks, hardly running the heater at all but doing laundry and hang drying the clothes. I would suggest some dehumidifiers if moisture bothers you, as it can get damp inside due to being so close to the water. Definitely would recommend and loved the area, plenty to do around you within 30-60 minute drive. So much more to say but out of characters to use :)
