Niagara Falls Family vacation
On Aug 3rd our family of 16 headed out for our Niagara Falls vacation. It turned out to be our worst vacation we've ever taken as a family. When we booked this place- Abigail and Taylor were very kind and accomodating. However, once we arrived at the house, we immediately ran into problems. Toilets didn't flush properly with signs next to them reading (sensitive pipes), mold in the showers, the house was not very clean, cabinets were full with other peoples stuff so all our food had to sit out on counters, and there were mice running around on the first floor. Once we saw the mice we packed up and left as some in our party were terrified of mice (especially since our food was on counter tops). I immediately sent a text regarding the problems and requested a refund. Abigail was apologetic and said she would look into a refund. We agreed to 1/2 of our money to be refunded which seemed generous on our part since we were only on the property 23 hrs out of 7 days. It took over 3 weeks but they did send us a refund, however it was only about 1/3 of what we paid. I absolutely hate leaving a poor review but I feel obiligated to tell the truth about this property. The setting is gorgeous. Watching the sunset over the river was breath-taking. The house has alot of charm, but the cleanliness needs alot of improvement and mouse traps would certainly help. I'm not sure what can really be done about the bathrooms but they do not accomodate 16 people.

Tired
The property location is stunning and the outdoor views were amazing. For the rent price J was surprised to find dirty windows, cobwebs and a kitchen that lacked bare essentials like miking, large salad bowls, coffee grinder, blender, whisk. We ended up having to go by a grater, set of bowls in various sizes for regular food prep. The property is in great need of repair with multiple tripping hazards from loose tiles and unmarked steps. We were celebrating a 90 th birthday and it was quite scary a couple of times. The dinning room table is not attached to its base, so again when people leaned on the table, the entire opposite end would come completely off and up. I usually do not like to leave negative reviews, but people should be aware of these items when considering staying with elder or a large group. Dinning room chairs are very unstable.
