Welcome to On the Rocks at High Rock Lake! Enjoy your time with family in this Lakeview 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home.

Lake access is just steps from the property for non-motorized boats. There is also a public boat ramp, beach and picnic area at Buddle Creek located just a 3 minute drive away!

Take advantage of our kayaks or relax around the fire pit. This family friendly home is perfect for your next getaway!

Mother and son weekend
My son and I were looking for a quiet getaway to do some songwriting, reading, and just chilling around the fire pit. This place was perfect. We had a tiny glitch with the lock at check-in, but it was resolved immediately. We would absolutely consider renting here again!

Nice for our weekend getaway
This property served our purposes for a weekend getaway to attend the Lexington BBQ Festival. Close to town. Fire pit is awesome! Nice to have personal amenities available in case you forget anything. Quiet neighborhood. Nicely renovated. Wish we would have had time to take the kayaks out.

Property was very quaint and spacious. Furniture was nice and updated as well as appliances. We could tell that the home was older and had been updated. The location is great if you don’t plan on venturing out much, however we did find it to be a decent drive to any food or store. Lake view was obstructed by neighboring houses and trees but could be seen slightly. We appreciated the extra toiletries, coffee, etc that were available. Our kids loved the bunk beds but were bummed there was not a tv in the room (they don’t sleep well without one). Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and cookware. The board games were great to kill time in the evenings. Overall we had a great stay for a quick weekend to attend a wedding.

Amazing Place For Family Weekend!!
I took my grandchildren and adult sons on this trip and I can’t say enough wonderful things about our hosts and their lovely home! The house was well stocked and anything I needed Heather responded to immediately. The fire pit was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening fire and s’mores. Netflix provided was great for kids to watch a show while the adults gathered at the fire pit. If you’re looking for an amazing family trip look.no further!

Great place to stay! Close access to High Rock Lake. Host was amazing! Quick responses and she made sure all the little things were there in case you forgot something. We had family come and spend the day with us. Awesome place for this!

Perfect place to stay for Polar Express
Cute house near lake that had very comfortable beds and everything you need… even firewood! Close to polar express in Spencer. Lots of games for kids, was perfect holiday weekend trip!!

Getaway with extended family
We enjoyed the location and home. We fished, kayaked, bbq'd, used the fire pit, and relaxed while enjoying the gorgeous views of the lake! Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed plus more! Would definitely recommend!

The house was very clean and matched the photos. We were very pleased with our stay. The owners were very responsive when we had a couple issues and addressed them immediately. All the docks are private property so to get to the lake, you follow a path between 2 properties to an opening at the waters edge. You can walk into the lake and go swimming and it’s a good place to launch a kayak. Not really an area for fishing though. Our kids missed having a dock to jump of off but they still had a great time.

Excellent property! The host was very responsive and helpful. The house had lots of little details right such as having extra towels, paper towels and toilet paper that were easy to find and accessible. The kayaks were a big hit as well as the outdoor fire pit. No issues. Would definitely stay again.

This home is so cute!! We loved the tall chairs on the front porch and the Adirondack chairs on the back deck. Just across the street from High Rock Lake, this home provided respite for my husband and my weary souls and it was great! We even received a brief visit from the neighbor's wiener dog!!

Quiet and relaxing
My sister and 90 year old mother and I needed a few days of quiet and relaxation. This was the perfect place! We kayaked, enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch, and had a great time together. We would definitely return to this quaint property. The house was very clean and looks just like the pictures! Heather was an excellent host. She responded very quickly when I had questions. She was a pleasure to work with.

Great little place
Property is as described. View of woods with lake views through the trees, very nice. I heard a barred owl just after sunset! I would have liked a regular coffeemaker in addition to (or instead of) the Keurig. Would recommend staying here for a pleasant and peaceful getaway.

Loved the kayaks and the responsive host!
Nice place for us to get away and gather together. Close enough to our hometowns to make this an easy place to get to and be together for a weekend. Access to the lake was key - and use of the 4 kayaks was a great perk. We enjoyed our first night around the firepit having fire baked potatoes, hot dogs, and s'mores. Weather got a little rainy but we were still able to get out between rainy times to get a little more kayaking in. Would give many more stars for the responsiveness of the hosts, supplying our special needs here and there.
